Really want to try the Jamesons Caskmates Stout Edition but I'm spending too much on whisky lately.
It's matured in ex stout barrels and sounds grand.

Do it. It’s worth the effort.

On offer at Sainsburys... I'll see what the damage is on my van service tomorrow, if there's no work needed I'm on it!

I've been well impressed with this, after exploring different regions this is the first Lowland region whisky I've tried.
    Not done Campbeltown yet.

It's the only triple distilled single malt in Scotland apparently, the distillery is in Clydebank and was set up by Irish settlers. Triple distillation is traditionally an Irish thing and produces smooth whisky.

It is smooth, but oily, there is a brine taste in there besides fruits and vanilla. Almost like a mixture of characteristics from Speyside and Island single malts.
Really nice for a non age statement imo.

There's a Jura vibe with this. Some reviews said Islay but there's no heavy peat here, it's definitely more Jura.

Currently enjoying a can of San Miguel, not as nice as the actual Spanish stuff but far better than what I got served at the New Cross last Saturday... there is a reason they are selling beer at £2 a pint

The Stowford Press cider in there isn't bad, but that's about it.

They're all different Barry, same as beers are.

Crikey mate, I bet you were still drunk when you woke up?

I did something similar in my early twenties, White Horse whisky I think it was, put me off the drink for life until the last few years.

Must admit I wasn't at my best when I woke up. I don't think the other passengers on the bus were impressed either.

Last year I met one of my colleagues for the Nene Valley Brewery beer festival. My colleague plays rugby. My colleague drinks at twice the speed I can manage.

I woke up next morning in my bed even though I live 15 miles away from NVB. My colleague woke up face down in the Brewery Car Park. He lives about 15 feet away from the Brewery

Leave it with em mate. Blasting 18 pints down me and having a drunken brawl does not appeal.

I finished with that years ago pal, the last time I went out with them they set fire to the bus driver's head, at 60mph on the M1.

The trouble is, with rugby when you’ve had eighteen pints, you actually forget where you are and think you’re actually five points down to Pontypridd and there’s just a couple of minutes left for play.
