    Default Aitor had a dream...

Possibly the most exciting summer as a Forest fan approaching 30. Many others my age will cling on to memoriesof ‘success’ such as 02/03 playoff heart break under Harty as our Best season or that derby away game when we went wild in the last minute. Nice to see us mixing it up and having a go. Countless sides in the past two decades have not played by the rules and achieved success. I’m excited to see it’s our time to adopt a different tactic. Let’s hope it brings us a season where the optimism off the pitch translates into positive results, electric atmospheres and something to play for every game.

To put it quite simply... is this our year?

    Aitor had a dream,
    to build a football team,
to take us back to where we belong, wooooo ooh.
    We’re on our way back,
    We’re on our way back,
We’re Nottingham Forest we’re on our way back!
    Dada dada dada

What a great away day yesterday. Enjoy the international break Reds, Aitor still has a dream!

Aitor, Aitor Karanka take Forest up for me!

Last time we won away at Boro in the league by two goals, we won the League Cup the same season. Make of that what you will.

Strangely addictive tune this, really starting to piss off my colleague at work, been singing it constantly since 7.30am.

After hearing wolves’ version I’ve been trying to think about a version we could sing.

    Aitor had a dream
    To build a football team
13 million for our wonder kid carvahlo
    Danny fox at the back
    Grabban in attack
We’re Nottingham Forest were on our way back ...

Cautiously optimistic, but early days yet. Think we'll have an enjoyable season either way.

No stand out teams in the league really with Leeds, WBA and Mboro all chucking points away at home to so called inferior opposition already. Add to that a bunching of teams from 5th through to 16th all within one result of another makes it the most "competitive" Championship in a while - but only because everyone is pretty bang average. There's no Wolves or Fulham this year who are going to play teams off the park for fun.

So, that being said, there's no reason Forest shouldn't target top six finish. Looks like it might not even take 75 points to finish top six this season either.

Starting to think my 28/1 auto promotion bet has got some legs again.

5th in the league, tough to beat & we've got plenty of gears from an attacking perspective. Blood pressures gonna be through the roof come May, but we can do this.

Thought it was 28/1 to win the league?

It has some legs, but mostly because the league is particularly weak this year. You did well to get on that before we spunked £20m too.

Don't seem much when you think what we're going to have to go through to land it.

You can lay it of at 20's on betfair mate.....

    https://www.betfair.com/exchange/plu...et/1.144865986

Sit back with a free 8/1 shot bet if you want. Still net you around £1600 if it comes in.

    I was thinking this yesterday.

I'm cautious by nature so it will take a lot to convince me we are top two material. But having said that, nobody stands out as vastly superior to us because they all keep slipping up.
We've just got to slip up a bit less and we are in with a shout. Definitely of the playoffs anyway.

This is what breeds confidence for me, we're starting to look like one of the sides least likely to slip up. Turn more draws into wins & things will look better still.

The fact that nobody is running away with it (so far) says it’s a strong league where pretty much every team will be competitive with no bankers.

I’m assuming you bet £200 what would you get for cashing out now as I’m a bit think on this cashing out malarkey and usually sit tight until something goes wrong and it’s too late

Cash out probably not much more than the original stake at this point.

We've got strength in depth as well.
A few injuries will soon get shut of the likes of Brentford and Sheff Utd out of the top six.

Leicester ruined the odds for outright bets.
