    Another winger? Crikey.

Another signing which seemed to suddenly happen at the last minute. The club are doing a good job of keeping these names out of the media.

It only takes a second to score a goal.

I thought it was just an easy link to us being Mendes new “team” last week but looks like we actually are

Was Tomlin not played wide left mostly under Karanka? I know he’s a #10 at heart but you’d assume if we’re getting all these forwards in it’s because we’ve moved on from the forwards mooted previously

2 goals and 2 assists for fiorentina in serie a last year. Likely a bench option on the wing, especially if soudani does come.
    Just my view of it.

Mostly he played as a no. 10. Assuming a 4231 we need a squad of 6+ attackers behind the main striker.

Maybe we've moved on from Tomlin, but it doesn't necessarily follow.

Unnecessary for the small roster Karanka says he wants, especially if Soudani is signed.

Quite odd that we are signing another winger, especially if Soudani is coming as well.

    Is my opinion also.

All these young Mediterranean boys want to be thankful Kevin Muscat has retired.

Suggests Soudani is seen as a striker I'd say. left wing options of Goncalves and Lolly, right wing Dias and Cash, unless Karanka sees cash in a different position next season?

I doubt it's that rigid. I reckon AK wants options, with one of them being a fluid attacking four, and remember the three Portugese lads are inexperienced. Soudani will get plenty of game time as an inside forward/winger if he signs.

To make the Wolves comparison (again), often last season they had attackers coming off the bench to help win games in the last twenty.

We haven’t had game changers from the bench for years and whoever’s on it is gonna be decent

Another signing kept quiet until it's almost done though. Think we'll see quite a few more pop up like this in the coming weeks.
