Not if we're getting Byram, and there are better options if we don't.

Mark Bunn's also been released, and he would be better in the backup keeper options than Steele...

Forest fans during the season: Hope we don't sign any aging players anymore like Murphy or Soudani

Forest fans during transfer window: let's sign Adomah and Hutton.

    Never change guys

I wouldn’t sign him based on his performances for us when he was here on loan, even less enthused now he’s older and presumably slower. Let him go back to Rangers

Unlikely, but if he went back to Rangers I'd most definitely be looking to take Tavernier off them.

Depends if Stevie G would be happy with Hutton and Flanagan, probably not.

Yeh, Tavernier would be fantastic, especially if we continue to play wing backs.

Yeh, wasn't suggesting it was likely. The time to buy him was 2 years ago under Warbs.

I'd prefer someone younger, but it wouldn't be a bad signing on a free and leaves more money available for investing in some genuine quality in midfield.

He wouldn't be awful on a free if our other right-back wasn't Darikwa.

Where's the quality coming from at right-back, supporting attacks?

I'd rather Jayden Richardson get opportunities tbh.

Interestingly Football Insider did a story an hour ago saying he'd passed a medical and agreed terms with Wigan... So we'll see

Yeah got to say I think this would leave us with two 2nd string quality RBs rather than a starter and a backup.

Good enough for top 6? Probably not a huge coincidence that Villa flew up the table once he dropped out of the team last season. In fact the 10 games before he got injured Villa had 2 wins... They won 10 and drew 1 of their next games when he was injured, then he came back and they lost again

He's also never played more than 35 games in a season in the league.

If we don't have much money this year, i'd rather use use loans and introduce kids. Not waste money on injury prone warm bodies.

Furthermore, not sure where he'd fit in with MO'N's claim that we're going to become younger and faster.
So i'm hoping it's just another bullshit Nixon story.

It’s a little concerning transfer in terms of showing us what ONeils style will be. There is room for ONeil in modern football but he has to adapt. We can play ONeil football but we need rapid full backs and rapid wingers. Old slow players in a direct style is a good combination for the championship.

Please sign for Wigan. Don't want a 34 year old with a bad hammy that'll spend 2 years on the bomb squad.

Live how when Nixon/the sun says we're signing someone shit it's gospel, yet when we're signing someone great their bullshit merchants and shouldn't be trusted.

Discussing the pros/cons and impact of a rumour doesn't mean everyone thinks it's gospel.
