I'll forgive the topic but bountys are nice.

I walk around like everything is fine but deep down, in my shoe, my sock is sliding off.

These have just been recommended on a Kosher Recipe site I follow. They look very interesting, I would be inclined to add some anchovy as well for some reason. They are called Adjaruli Khachapuri apparently.

Have you been on anti inflammatorys by any chance Alf? Sorry if I missed the post where you said you had.

I was on them for a few years for my knees and my stomach has never been 100% since. Can't touch red wine now and I used to love it.

Mine's a long, boring complicated story in which the NHS does nothing but butcher me further

The latest episode is them basically wrecking my gut with antibiotics, then assuming I had high stomach acid, perscribing me a PPI to surpress it, and not realizing I had low stomach acid, so now I can't eat fuck all with various suppliments. The anti-inflametory was there as a tester I tried to see if their medicine had ripped my stomach enough to give me an ulcer (it didn't thankfully) and to see how it affected the rest of the inflamation throughout my body (it barely touched it)

I'd been fit as a fiddle and not been to the docs for over 10 years prior to all this.

To ease pain I'm systematically working through various foods & suppliments. If I were you mate I'd stop the meds (even over the counter stuff) and go natural before you get an ulcer.

Great natural anti-inflametories which work with me are:
    Cocunut Oil
    Olive Oil
    Pineapple
    Salmon (fucking love salmon too)
    Bone Broth

Give them a go. There's plenty more but I'd have to go into more detail about your diet (e.g. you could find a good anti-inflametory, but then be over-doing it with fats etc.)

The olive oil surprises me- plays havoc with my antacid.
My guts were fine until I had pericarditis and the GPís had me living on ibuprofen. Now I canít eat anything acidic as I get reflux, or yeasty else I swell up like a balloon. So ale and bread are minimised ☹️
Fortunately, red wine doesnít have any effect (apart from getting me pissed) 🤪

Donít have anythjng f beer that but have been necking antacids for years

About ten weeks ago I went on a strict diet that in the first week cut out everything apart from meat and veg and nuts , meat was a small portion five times per day and veg was the size of your fist
No wheat , no diary , no fruit absolutely nothing processed

Kept like this for a week and introduced fruit and then a little carbs

Acid stomach stopped within first three days and hasnít been back since , I hardly touched processed carbs and fatty foods (chips last night was a treat ).

One thing I have noticed since cutting out bread is that my stools are much firmer and o havenít had any issues with chalfonts either

    Sounds a right ballache.

I did stop taking them, after two years (it probably wasn't quite that long) I expected better results, so I fucked them off.
All they did was upset my stomach and give me the runs. Which isn't nice working on jobs were there isn't even a toilet, I'd have to shoot off in the van to find a public toilet, it was a nightmare.

In the end I cut my working week down to give my knees a break and was more selective on the jobs I'd take on. They still play up a bit, as does my stomach but nowhere near as bad.
I bloat easily now which seems standard for blokes my age.

I take olive oil and glucosamine sulphate, still not sure if it's doing anything though
