Despite him hitting 30 you can see he still has plenty in the tank. Still very mobile and puts a shift in.

Wouldn't mind gphim being our no.9.

Lovely place for a holiday though.

Yeah the Birmingham Mail reported as much a week ago, got a feeling he might stay there either way tbh.

Was thinking about this one, and wondering if Jan might be a good time to grab him if they go up?

Folk traditional say "it's a bad time to do business" but it's often full of opportunities to grab failing players who aren't doing much, and Grabban's never really cut it in the Prem.

You might be right. According to J Percy Villa will have to let him go now they failed to get promoted.

Same, especially if he is Karanka's first choice. There was that stat going around a week or two ago that we didn't score a single goal inside the 6 yard box this season which is an issue.

In this vid of his goals at Sunderland he scores a few right under the cross bar, the one against Bristol at around the 1:30 mark when the ball is scrambling about highlights how he keeps moving and anticipates the ball squeezing through to him, the clip against Millwall at around 2:00 also shows his anticipation and positioning.

Well Villa fans hate his guts now so hopefully besides the financial aspect for Villa - it will make them not even try anymore.

Still trying to decide - him or Marriott.

Don't think we will be spending 11.5m for these 2.

Money to spend on a Panti, LB, RB, Colback, Tomlin and Wide-Fwd first I would imagine.

We'll need more than Grabban I think but if it's true Peterborough want £6.5m for Marriott it's a big risk.

I still think we will spend £5m+ on a British based striker and bring another one in from abroad that we haven't heard yet. He had that formula every year at Boro.

I only think we need one out and out striker. I concede it needs to be the best one we can get whoever it is.

Brereton needs to be 2nd choice and getting game time. He'll only get better with it.
He's a kid, tries too hard sometimes, needs to improve his decision making but has bollocks and wants to learn.
He could easily be our top striker in a season or two.

That's if we don't have to sell him first !!
