Absolutely and I'm hoping we'll do that if Karanka wants to. I'm just wondering how much Peterborough will want for Marriott, if there are as many suitors as they'd have us believe £6,7,8m? Would we need another striker just in case he can't step up a level and how much would they cost, £3-4m? A lot of hypotheticals but I just think Karanka will want someone who has done it at this level and still can for a few years if we are spending big on a striker.

    Best minutes-to-goals in League 1 & 2 this season:

    130 - Will Grigg
    140 - Brett Pitman
    143 - Callum Lang
    145 - Shawn McCoulsky
    145 - Jack Marriott
    145 - Marc McNulty
    145 - Danny Hylton

Other than us and Leeds are any other clubs linked with Marriott?

It only takes a second to score a goal.

Great stats. Interesting that they are all essentially forwards.

Can you post the same for the top 7 midfielders? Be interesting to see what lower league players we ought to consider a few mil on to help with goals from midfield.

Apparently McAnthony had a fit when Evans played Maddison and Morrison in the game before last cos he’s worried about them getting injured

I absolutely get wound up by people spouting statistics at me. However, look at the table and notice that the minimum no. of goals scored by clubs in the top 6 is 65. Goals conceded average about 40 ish.
So that's it. We need to get a couple of players who are guaranteed to score goals; lots of them. And have enough defensive nous to keep 'em out.

Put a solid goal scorer on the pitch over Brereton and we’d have been 3-0 up after 15 minutes today.

I don’t think you’re wrong at all, but goalscorers are the most expensive players for a reason

    Default Jack Marriott

Just on local BBC radio channel from a reporter (probably their version of PT) that he expects both to go before pre season starts.

DMc doesn’t want the Assombalonga situation again where it dragged out and disrupted plans.

No mention of them both going to the same place, no mention of us, just many clubs talking to P’boro.

Many years ago, a friend of mine studying in Edinburgh told me about fried mars bars. I was convinced he was joking and only when I heard it from other witnesses did I believe it. To this day, it remains for me the most disgusting street food concept ever devised by human ingenuity. And I'm the kind of person who will gladly taste any weird junk food.

There are places north of the border who will deep fry anything for you. Doner Kebab? they'll deep fry it. Pizza, creme eggs, actual eggs, salad, ham burgers etc.

Alf said top midfielders. The one you posted only has two goals in 2018?

They've already confirmed they're selling him. Really, we should be signing whoever they're signing to avoid the ridiculous markup!

Maybe we should just get their scouting network instead ?

They have had more failures than successes to be fair, that's why they are floating around in League One.
