Heard that we're trying to get Bakary Sako from Palace on a Bosman. Not strong info, so could be BUPA still.

I thought Marinakis wasn't allowed within 250 feet of a Bakary after the match fixing allegations.

Bakery Sako won't last long with Marinakis. Allegedly.

Yep just before we got Monty.

I think him, Hasi & Monty we’re the main 3.

But there was some concern he was on the same glue as Dougie

    It’s a “Yes” from me.

Looks like the Lichaj deal is dependent on Max Clark coming here. I’m assuming we want 400k and Clark for nothing.

We've done well if we get Clark & £400k for Lichaj.

I was expecting a straight swap at best. Doesn't Lichaj only have 1yr left on his deal?

Just seen this on Twitter... I wonder if he's been on to Mendes after we signed the two lads

Would take the Portuguese triangle over Marriott and Grabban.

Hmm, I'm not sure. I still think we'd need an out and out poacher/ goal-scorer, he's not a 15-20 goal a season man or he hasn't been so far in his career at least. We need two strikers though so as an option Oliveira would be alright.

I assume it's more to do with Oliveira coming through the Benfica academy. But, I would certainly take him if there was an option to do so. He may not be a 20 goal striker, but he would get 10-15 and the Portuguese link up play could be fun to watch. The other thing with Oliveira is that he was never afraid to shoot from outside the box, which is something that we could use alongside another "poacher" type striker.

    Good summation guys.

I wasn't big on Nelson before but that is before we will actually have a team to contribute.

Nelson with quality around him will get enough goals and contribute to the others scoring for us to win lots of matches.

Get Soudani and I think that may be our business done with forwards. Algerian fans often call for him to play false 9 so he is versatile.

Individually Nelson is a better technician than both Grabban/Marriott. I would take Grabban but 2 seasons before last he scored 3 goals.

I would love to have Soudani as like you say he can play in that false 9 role and also winger which is a versatility we could do with. In addition to Oliveira, I seem to remember his link up play was good at times with Ryan Mendes, and these new lads are looking much better than Mendes was, so I assume with that extra quality we could see some beautiful football. Nelson also liked to roll off the defenders (QPR away)and get into the right positions in the box - Reading at home i seem to remember him scoring a screamer and a decent tap in. I'm sure Karanka will know what he wants anyway
