How do you solve it though? It's a catch 22.

Just spoken with a good friend who lives in Munich, he's currently stuck in Karstadt, place is on lock-down and police everywhere, nobody allowed to leave.

Worse is - he and his wife were considering going to Olympia tonight to shop, but changed their mind and went to the city centre at the last minute.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

There's amateur video on the Guardian news feed of the assailant coming out of McDonald's and starting to shoot at people. It's a bit disturbing so be warned. This doesn't look good at all

    Yeah seen it. Pretty bad.

Imagine the numbers of dead/injured tomorrow morning will be more disturbing though.

Well, who didn't see this coming a mile away?

Suddeutsche Zeitung reporting six confirmed dead.

My friend and his wife has just got home safe, he says much of the city is in lockdown, the Hauptbahnhof (central station) is closed and the suburban U-Bahn shut down.

Germany's elite GSG9 commandos have been deployed too.

Saw the footage outside Mc donalds, the guy looks white not arabic. Now reporting its 5 years since Breivik mass murder in Norway, to the day, sounds like fascist bellends are the culprits?

Getting a bit silly now, but as Masuka says, what's the solution?

We've had terrorism here for years.

    Never heard of the IRA?

They carried out atrocities just as bad as anything seen in mainland Europe recently.

That's too much of a coincidence to not have meaning.

I know mate, you've mentioned it before, just pulling your pisser!

We've already had it recently, Lee Rigby, this RAF bloke yesterday. Luckily we haven't had any atrocities, but with our years of experience dealing with the IRA we are probably far better trained at intelligence gathering that many of our European neighbours.

Oh, and the majority of the Muslims in this country are 2nd or 3rd generation, so unless they are radicalised or have been out to fight in Syria, the majority of them are as British as me or you.

There will always be a rogue element, but we don't have the numbers here that are in Europe.

Of course that might mean nothing if tonights attack wasn't ISIS propoganda.

The anniversary of Breviks massacre might mean it is something else all together.

Cops given all clear, one fellow shot himself and it's being assumed he was alone. Not sure of the reasoning behind the shooting. Here in 'murica (on me hols) they were very quick to wheel out an eyewitness claiming he was shouting allahu akbar but now they are going with the nationalist flavour of nutcase.

If he'd have done the last bit first, problem solved.

    And another this morning

Syrian migrant who didn't meet asylum requirements clacks himself off. Killing one
