Can anyone remember Rumours at Blackpool? They used to have topless barmaids on & dance around to "has anybody seen my cock?" in the most God-awful-brilliant way ever.

Went in one year more recenty and what greeted me was a "trendy", hipster bar with a group of 20 year old lads all wearin flat caps & dancing to R&B.

Was that just up from the tower?

If so I remember going in there to watch an England match and a girl got on the stage in front of the telly on whipped her tits out whilst the football was on, she got shouted at to fuck off out the way and drowned in ale much to her bemusement.

    Know you audience.

I went to watch Alf's band play once in Sutton, I got my tits out and a little bit of leg. Got 2 halves of mild chucked at me and a blowjob off the drummer.

Yeah, if the Towers on your left it's straight in front of you if you keep going forrad.

I watched England Greece in Rumours, and it was so boring that I took a lass back to the hotel with wonderful tits at half time. Was happy coz in my head I'd traded crap footy for a good shag. But she was totally crap. "I'll blow your mind" she said, but she started getting all scared when I did anything but missionary to her.

"At least I aint missed owt and we're not qualifying anyway I thought" Boom, Beckham's legendary free kick and the scream of thousands thriving outside did me.

Grass is greener biting me right in the arse there. Everyone went out that night buzzing, I was gutted and found I'd caught clap a few weeks later.

On the subject of Trilbys, last year I was working on a Project for Jaguar Land-Rover (a customer of ours) and one of their guys (who had been with various iterations of the British car industry since the 1980s) told me that the Triumph Dolomite was specifically designed for its interior layout so that a chap could drive one wearing a Trilby.

Needless to say, I was suitably impressed.

My old Morris Marina must have been designed so that a chap could drive it in wellies.....because it leaked like a fucking sieve.

'Intelligence without ambition is a bird without wings' - Salvador Dali 1904-1989

I think 'odd' is a good thing. Oddness shows originality, uniqueness and a desire to be different from the masses. Oddness is, maybe, only deemed 'odd' by the majority who are considered less odd but only by their own blinkered observations and understanding. Oddness should never be criticised but be encouraged to nurture, develop individualism and to explore the mind rather than conform to expectation and 'normality'. Many of the world's greatest works of art and prose were born from those minds many considered to be 'odd'.

Hats per se are to keep your head warm when you have no hair. Wear one before and you’ll be bald prematurely.
The only hat I wear is my Forest beanie and only when it’s bloody cold!

I was 19 when I purchased my flat cap from Dunne & co on lister gate. The shop was a real old world menswear shop even back in the late 70s. I gave it up to my oldest daughter when she was about 6 years old, she looked a picture in it.
