Cost Roma £800k in 13/14 and apart from 5 appearances has been on loan with Empoli where he played 66 times, 35 of which were in 16/17 when they were relegated to Serie B.
How does that make his transfermarkt value £5.85m?

Probably the fact he's played 71 games in Serie A now?

Who’s accounts? They got relegated. Was it the defenders there as well?

He is very highly-regarded in Italy from what I've read.

He also kept 10 clean sheets last season. 1 more than Handanovic at Inter who is supposed to be one of the top keepers in the world.

Don't doubt the blokes quality but £4.4m is a lot for a mid-table Championship team to be spending on a keeper.

In any case you could David de Gea behind our shambles of a defence and you'll still be leaking goals for fun. May as well let Jordan Smith continue to develop until you sort that out.

Paul McGregor was describing sitting in a hotel room in Preston or Bolton or some other Lancashire hole with Silenzi whilst the italian had an epiphany about how far his career had fallen.

Actually gutted me a bit for him.

Wasn't it Rotherham? Equally as depressing mind.

Paul actually sounded a bit sincere during that, bless him.

Having done nights out in all 3 of Rotherham, Preston & Bolton they're spot on places to get depressed

At least Blackpool is only just up the road from Preston.

As someone who spent 2017 working between Blackpool and Preston, I can tell you that even watching Forest succumb to a 0-3 home loss is a better place to be than in that part of the world.
