Problem is it's only a season long loan. Fine to ship off Pants but what happens when Muric goes back to City?

We look for another one, or buy muric if we get promoted.

Pantillimon is likely on a fair wedge. It's not just about transfer fee but if we get a keeper who is as good and reduce wage bill in process it's a no brainer really.

We sort of look like we know what we're doing. We needed wingers, centre mids and possibly a keeper and we've got them.

I agree, it's an issue and next season with 17 players out of contract it could be a very expensive summer.

Judging by an interview, our manager seems content with the two backup keepers he has, despite their young age and their inexperience (Siabanis, 20, and the excellent Tzolakis, not even 17), and does not really want another keeper. Perhaps the club will feel uneasy with that choice and ask him to reconsider, but for the time being at least the Pantilimon rumour will have to be classified as BUPA.

it is rare for a keeper to get injured , pants is too ex to be keeping on the sideline as a no. 2, let jordan smith or jordan wright be the backup and let yacob n pants go to oly.

Jordan Wright probably won't be a pro footballer.

Steele or Pants need to be no.2, or someone new.

Steele or Smith are both fine as number 2. Any successful team doesn’t use their second gk anyway. Tim Krul played every minute of Norwich’s league season last year.

Wouldn't be too surprising for a rookie goalkeeper like Muric to not live up to expectations. He could easily have dip in form or loss of confidence. We need experienced back up. Pantillimon should stay.

I really really hope it's just a coincidence that Pantilimon didn't play last night precisely at the moment the Greek press claims we're close to signing a keeper.

I think we should sell him and get him off the wage bill. He's too expensive to sit on the bench every week.

We're signing a French keeper today. Taylor's one scoop proved to be BUPA.

    How much does he earn?

I heard around £20k-ish. A bit BUPA, bit I did see something earlier about him potentially going to Birmingham on loan.

That means that if he is not shipped out by tomorrow he will have to find a team in some rich country. There are dozens of excellent goalkeepers around Europe who earn much less than a million a year. Ours is better with his eyes closed and he's on 600k per year.

Russia maybe, or Turkey. Unless he agrees on a longer term contract for much less per year.

It's a tricky situation, even a loan to another Championship club like Birmingham would require us to subsidise a big chunk of his wages. Assuming Brice Samba signs, I think a permanent transfer to a European side would be best if such an offer became available.

He's a decent keeper so there will be interest, but how much clubs will be willing to pay is the big question.

He should go to China, he'd be a giant there.

We don't even pick him for the bench.

That might just be because he won't fit in the dugout though.

Just read an article saying Lamouchi copying Guariola who got rid of fans' favourite Joe Hart because he didn't fit the Guardiola style of play.
I wouldn't say Pantilimon was a Forest Fans' favourite, but he certainly can't be the keeper if Lamouchi wants the total football from keeper to striker.
Mind you by that argument, Grabban should be on his way as well!

Theres an argument that questions Grabbans temperament at times, but his ability in a football playing side? no chance.

Grabbans technically the best player we have.
