    Default Sam Morsy

    Alternative to Clayton ?

Not the first time we interested in him. Seems like someone at the club has always had him on the list.

Former #Spireites midfielder Sam Morsy is in high demand. Forest & Sheff Utd have rekindled their interest, with Blades putting in a £1m bid. Cook says he wants £3m.

Used to watch him a bit at Chesterfield. Good footballer. Another in the Bridcutt/Vaughan mould.

He followed up with this :

A deal to Forest fell through in the summer when Wigan changed manager, but the club are continuing their pursuit.

I like Morsy really wanted either him or Luongo to come in the summer. He was brilliant in his loan spell at Barnsley, all over the place, proper aggressive little terrier.

Well some folk won't be happy but Karanka seems to like em that way, he inherited Leadbitter but signed both Clayton and Forshaw. So he seems to be following a blueprint.

Sometimes smaller ones can be aggresive enough, despite their lack of size.
This is the midfield bastard I'd get.

The good thing is he gets booked as much as Bridcutt does so hopefully they can time it so when one is suspended the other isn't so we'll always have an aggressive little feck on the pitch.

No not Evans himself, I actually quite liked him. More the time that picture represents.

More chance of signing Inspector Morse.

    More chance of Mohammed Morsi.

It's seems clear Krankerjack is after a DM.

If we come away from this window without one then that'll be an indication of how serious about promotion our new owners really are (n't).

They've got their man. Time to back him (and not thro more player sales either).

It wouldn't surprise me if we signed no-one.

We don't need to, we're not going up, we shouldn't go down. Let Karanka have longer to assess the squad fully before rushing into signings. Summer we'll have more wiggle room anyway to bring in players what with contracts ending and a longer timeframe.

I agree. The time for talking has gone. They have a high profile manager they now need to back him. Prudently.

And it's that word prudently which is key. I'd prefer that we waited rather than be totally de-trousered by people who assume we're desperate.
Delaying, gives our agents time to do some underhanded unsettling of our key targets.
    Just saying.

I agree, there is no point buying for the sake of it, ok if it’s someone AK sees as part of the long term plan but I wouldn’t want us to spunk money away on the likes of Ross Mcormack

If Yates is good enough then i'm not sure bringing in anyone now is worth it anyway..
