I think Brazil is keen to move across to first team coaching/management

Did really well at Boro and only really became negative in the Prem. I'm pretty pleased with the appointment but you never know.

You never know but, he’s the kind of name we wouldn’t have been able to attract last year.

Really? You think a 0-0 at Leeds was a better result that beating Brentford, Middlesborough, Newcastle, Norwich or Sheffield United? And it was a more complete performance than the 4-0 hammering of QPR? Think you're overdoing it a bit with that one

Karanka is as good a choice as is available and hopefully he continues to build on the work Warbletoon and Brazil have done. We need to add to what we have rather than completely reshaping it

I’m pleased with appointment even though I’m a MW fan & didn’t want him sacked I really hope Karanka succeeds because Forest being successful is more important to me than saying “I told you so” and being proved right on the internet

The exact sort of appointment we should be making, happy with that.
I just hope that when the football becomes a little more "necessary" that our fans don't moan too much. Never really felt like we hit fifth gear with Warburton's football, given we didn't have the parts.

    THIS.

He's got my full backing IF he gives the young players a fair chance.

EM has really good strings in Spain. He has developed good liaisons with managers and a very good name there.
All that I think it helped to get karanka on board.
I suspect that he will be involved in the transfers and you will get at least a couple of his proposals.
The goal should be to start building a team that will fight next year for the playoffs at least

Best of what's on offer. Took him a few seasons to get going so let's give him a chance. Brought Gibson through at Boro and ruthless in dropping under performers from what I recall.

We all hope that Jay. It's so easy to predict what's going to happen though.

It's a 100/1 shot he'll succeed here, but 100/1's do come up trumps sometimes albeit rarely.

    We just have to hope.

Our first away point and clean sheet against a top six side, and yesterday’s win. Yes, the two best results of the season. In both we actually defended and looked organised, which we haven’t done all season, and yesterday Brazil tweaked the tactics to try and hurt the opposition, which we haven’t seen all season. MW would have sent them out to play the exact same predictable way in both games and we’d have lost. GB is no master tactician but he’s exposed MW’s failings in comprehensive fashion. QPR was good but they let us play and weren’t really testing opponents. I don’t think Holloway got the memo about how predictable MW’s tactics were.

I’m impressed they’ve got Karanka. He’s probably the best of the choices that were available.

Hopefully he can continue the good work that’s been done and get the performances and results Warburton was struggling to achieve.

Anybody shed any light on those reports from Boro about training ground bust-ups? I do hope they are nothing reports and nothing we need to worry about?

It's no Occitan that this was wrapped-up so quickly after the Arsenal game.

My very knowledgeable Smoggie mate thinks he will be a good fit for Forest because he is excellent with academy players, but is inclined to be defensive and often lacks a viable Plan B.

He also reckons he will get a warm welcome back at the Riverside.

I know this is the bit that we struggle with but Karanka didnt get Borough up in the 1st year.

Interviews with his old players portray him as a very demanding manager. He micromanages every aspect of the game. Has 80 page reports on opposition etc. Its going to take time for him to bring in players and teach the players we have to undestand his vision.

Lets give him more than 6 months to do that.

Yes, even if we loose 2 on the trot at one point.

Yes, even if he plays 1 up top

Yes, even if we kick the ball in the air sometimes.

I asked my Smoggy mate and he said:

"There was a single event that I know of and he walked. The club captain took the squad to his house and read them all the riot act. We recovered and the form actually improved. AK was absent from the club for two days. I think he learned from the spat, and even those banished to the naughty step came back into the fold.
Traumatic at the time but everyone kissed and made up"

He wont get the time mate, we all know that.

He either hits the ground running and excels or he's sacked before the end of the season because he has us flirting with relegation.

It really is as simple as that.
