    Default Patrick Bamford

Reported to be "surplus to requirements" at Middlesborough, and that NFFC might want to take him on loan for the rest of the season.
Forest fan in his youth, erstwhile product of the Academy and a Nottingham lad to boot.
Would he just be another to compete for Kieran Dowell's place?
Would he want yet another loan-out in his already stuttering career?
Would Forest fans welcome him back?
Personally, I would - but not as a loanee (I think the loan system is absolutely shite and really bad for English football)- I would want him to be a purchase.
What think the rest of you?

Thnk it's a fair shout Cap, but not sure he's the type of strike Billy would go for

“All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a Thousand Enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.”

Wes is about to find out how Flagman felt when he was going on about McLaren.

I think anybody who could add something up front should be welcomed but a loan initially please and review in the summer as we set up for the final push to the promised land and a time when we will be hovering up all the promising 17 year olds and loanining them out to championship teams tapping at the window wanting to be let into the club.

By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?

    Snap their hands off.

Don't think we can afford his wage for a transfer so a loan is the best we could hope for I reckon.

    Definitely.

That way they can't sign the contract.

I'd have him on the right wing.

I’d get him back to the City Ground, show him round the Academy, and the Stadium, and the Trophies.

“See, Patrick, all this could have been yours”.

    “Now, fuck off”.

Definitely take him on a loan but I'd be wary of a permanent move. Has been poor for Boro so far this season but performed well when he was playing for a transfer... go figure.

Nothing against Bamford but I don't believe in players returning to clubs they have left.

Don't worry Alf I am happy for Managers to return again....and again...

Jumped ship when we needed all hands on deck forcing the club into a position where they had to accept a fee far below what he was potentially worth. He can sod off if he thinks he can come back here because his career needs a jump start. We should focus our energies on Brereton and Walker, not somebody who has spent his time warming other clubs benches because he wanted to make some quick cash.

Don't blame him for leaving to be honest. However wouldn't want him. When I have seen him recently he just goes through the motions, no real desire, doesn't make things happen. Handed it all before he had to really work for it and it shows.

Birtles and Bowyer were great re-signings, Clough decent. Never imagined Bamford in that class so a no from me too.

Don't think it was his fault he was sold, Chelsea offered money that at the time we just couldn't turn away.

Played his part in saving the season along with the sale of Wes, without those sales, I felt we would have gone back to league one.

Also need to look at the fact he was 18? and Chelsea knocked on the door offering £££££'s per week. Anyone would go, to a new company, to do the same job for x10 more money? wouldn't they?

It was entirely down to him and his dad forcing our hand.

The club didn't want to sell, he turned down the biggest ever offer for a youth player at Forest. Went to Chelsea for quadruple the wage. Money, that's why he left.
