    Default An open letter to the Chairman of NFFC

    Dear Mr Randall,
    A great many season ticket holders, regular supporters, casuals and followers would be interested in your comments on a letter written a few months ago:

    .

    Thank you.

    By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?

    The long suffering supporters of NFFC have been sold an absolute load of crap. Again.

    Thanks for nothing.

    Don't anticipate a response.

    With the relentless backing of Warburton during his tenure, backed up by 28k gates, I'm guessing the new owners have given early confirmation the fans mean fuck all.

    Embarassing about turn from the new owners whove pitched themselves firmly in amongst footballs most clueless with one decision.

    Just when we thought we had woken from our collective nightmare, it turns out we are still asleep.

    More overrated managers/coaches being considered to bring in more overrated aged players looking for a pension if the comments about the McParland sacking are to be believed.

    One thing we can't believe is the statement from our chairman.

    I see this as a genuine statement of intent at the time..

    ..but things change. We don't see the day-to-day, behind the scenes relationships - it could have been deteriorating for some time; it's certainly looked that way on the pitch.

    let's give it 48 hours and see what Mr Randall & the Forest owners come up with

    It doesnt matter who they get or where we go. The fact is we've been lied to, the fans paid and turned up, a 5k increase and we've been shit on.

    We know the "club" reads the forums, well thanks for fuck all, the team and fans needed some bollocks, looks like you lot do too.

    Oh and all those "not" wanting him sacked, well done.

    I walk around like everything is fine but deep down, in my shoe, my sock is sliding off.

    I’ll give you a clue:

    It will be either a mealy-mouthed statement to somehow try and justify sacking a genuinely progressive manager, or fuck all.

    My money is on fuck all.

    You know, yesterday I thought the cowards were on the pitch.

    It seems we’ve got some in the boardroom too.

    On past form he’ll probably be announced as having left too.

    I bet the father of Apostles Vellios has more say in the running of our football club than the supporters

    One other pelter:

    How can any of the fans trust anything the Board says now?

    In defence of the Chairman's letter as per Flagman's initial post:
    1 the Chairman probably believed it at the time.
    2 Errr, that's it.

    But seriously folks, look at the situation logically:
    1 New owner buys troubled club, not fit for purpose, with a view to restoring its fortunes in time, recognising just how poor a situation the Club was in;
    2 New owner appoints a new Board, and recruits a manger who has been courted for months, as evidenced by the way new manager left his previous job;
    3 New Chairman of the Board puts out a letter to all supporters explaining that there is a plan, there will be a proper structure and there will be stability, because without it the Club is absolutely doomed;
    4 New owner sees Club bleeding money every day, but all is well because he has appointed the "perfect manager";
    5 The perfect manager has excellent credentials for setting up teams to play attractive, winning football in difficult circumstances, where there is little cash to splash;
    6 The perfect manager makes an excellent start saving Club from relegation, by the skin of its teeth;
    7 The fans respond by purchasing record numbers of season tickets, turning up in their droves on match day, despite seeing the one diamond encrusted gold nugget of a player promptly sold;
    8 The perfect manager is not handed the £15m to try and rebuild the team with players of his choice, who are able to play his technically demanding style;
    9 The perfect manager has to try and create a winning team from the dross left and from the yougsters who have bags of talent and no experience plus no team leader to guide them on the pitch;
    10 The perfect manager fails to adapt his technically demanding style to the level of skill available;
    11 Young inexperienced team, plus a collection of less than talented journeymen fail to get results;
    12 Theperfect manager is found like the perfect idol, to have feet of clay.
    The only answer is to bin him.
    Result - managerless team, largely unchanged (because all those involved in recruitment of players in the January window have now gone) sinks lower and lower with young talent sold off to try and balance the books...

    In his defence, there's a strong likelihood that Randall had no clue what was coming when he wrote this statement.

    But, I am so fed up in reading statements from the club that transpire into nothing other than empty words and broken promises. I just don't believe anything anymore.

    'Intelligence without ambition is a bird without wings' - Salvador Dali 1904-1989

    I think 'odd' is a good thing. Oddness shows originality, uniqueness and a desire to be different from the masses. Oddness is, maybe, only deemed 'odd' by the majority who are considered less odd but only by their own blinkered observations and understanding. Oddness should never be criticised but be encouraged to nurture, develop individualism and to explore the mind rather than conform to expectation and 'normality'. Many of the world's greatest works of art and prose were born from those minds many considered to be 'odd'.

    If Randall stands by that letter he should resign as he is either selling a lie or he has been sold a "pup" . Like the rest of us
