    Default Best Christmas Ever!

My wife and I exchanged Christmas gifts today (Christmas Eve) so we could concentrate on cooking Christmas Lunch tomorrow here in Melbourne, Australia.

Well all I can say is WOW!!

The first gift she gave me was a Forest home shirt - and I kid you not I cried (and am tearing up writing this). I am so happy!

Next gift was a Forest coffee mug,and lastly a Forest tie.

All these were sent from the Forest Shop at the City Ground in a really cool Forest emblazoned courier satchel bag.

Seriously these are the best presents I have ever gotten. Add this to finally getting to watch Forest games live with iFollow, and this has been a briliant year.

Just in case any other overseas fan is considering a shirt, I can advise my wife bought an XL size for me - I am 176cm tall (5’9.5”), 71.6kg (157 Lb), 32.5” waist - and the XL fits great (loose, but not baggy). The fabric is very light (called Climacool), and the 888 SPORT transfer is really smooth to the touch (so I imagine washing in a lingerie bag will be necessary to keep it from getting a tacky feel).

Merry Christmas to you all. May it be a RED one!
    Cheers.

That sounds amazing mate! I've just picked my missus up from nottingham and my reward is that she's been sick in my car and down the side of it, then given me a round of abuse and then fell asleep.

Merry Christmas RSF to you and your family. We have a Christmas tradition that my wife gets me the new Forest shirt every year and I pretend to be surprised. You talked about tearing up and I understand. I know it is coming and every year I get emotional and every year it is the best damn present I've ever gotten. Enjoy your presents Brother. It is a great thing to be a Red. Merry Christmas.

In Melbourne as well, ... and for Boxing Day Ashes test day one, it has to be the England shirt,

but day two NFFC shirt will be on show.

By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?

Ah yes, but tears of joy, not frustration, anger, disgust, wrong tactics, wrong midfield, wrong formation, no plan b, no Vellios, no 442, no Billy..............

One of my last long flights with BA the crew stayed at a hotel overlooking the MCG. I was training for my marathon then (1990) so set out for a long run. Past the MCG over the railway, past the tennis place, over the river and round and round over there. Didn't really know where I was going, but just pressed ahead.

Anyway, as I passed the MCG one of the big doors was open to let in equipment for the ground crew I suppose so I just went through and ran around the boundary a couple of times then out and on my way. The place just looked enormous as I ran around and to go out and bat in that place takes some bottle. Great fun

We’re serious about Christmas - are you?

Washing it in the lingerie bag, to avoid the fabric getting tacky?
    Not a good idea
That "tackiness" in the lingerie has got to go somewhere!
Happy New Year to you down under!

    I’m impressed.

I’d guess as much as 85% of men have never heard of a lingerie or hosiery bag let alone know what it’s for.

I think 'odd' is a good thing. Oddness shows originality, uniqueness and a desire to be different from the masses. Oddness is, maybe, only deemed 'odd' by the majority who are considered less odd but only by their own blinkered observations and understanding. Oddness should never be criticised but be encouraged to nurture, develop individualism and to explore the mind rather than conform to expectation and 'normality'. Many of the world's greatest works of art and prose were born from those minds many considered to be 'odd'.
