Default Tricky Tree International Call-up Thread

Might as well start one. To gather talk during boring international breaks.

Daryl Murphy in the Eire squad for the play-offs vs Denmark.
    http://www.fai.ie/ireland/news/oneil...d-cup-play-off

Jason Cummings - Scottish senior squad vs Holland (first call-up)

Jamie Ward - World Cup Play-offs vs Switzerland
Our Brummy Irishman is back to work his socks off for #GAWA

Ben Brereton is in the England u19 squad for the Euro u19 qualifiers.
Has the chance to defend the U19 Euro's.

Arvin Appiah in the England u17 squad. Pity no Brennan Johnson.

Not sure when Brereton, Dowell and Worrall had much of a break. All winning youth tournaments in the summer and England regulars.

I raised that point at the beginning of the season.

Even though your powers of recovery are much better when you're young, you still get tired from time to time as your body is still growing.

It could be the reason Brereton has found himself on the bench a lot.

    Three more :

Eric Lichaj travels to Portugal with USA
Anel Ahmedhodzic with Sweden u19s vs Poland and Finland
Muzzy Carayol with Gambia in a series of matches in Morocco.

International regular like Eire u21 GK Liam Bossin looks like they have no games. But he is injured anyway & was meant to be with 1st team.

    So in for training.

    Smith
    Henderson
Evtimov (think that loan was short lived & not too good in the one game)
Erlandsson (think he is back from his loan in Sweden now)

    Darikwa
    Mills
    Mancienne
    Fox
    Hobbs
    Traore

    Vaughan
    Bridcutt
    Bouchalakis
    Osborn
    Cash

    McKay
    Clough
    Walker

Plus some of the younger lads after the 23s game vs Derby at Pride Park tomorrow night.

    Zimbabwe? Crikey.

Do we have to get an “Ohhhhh, Robert Mugabe” chant going, to the tune of Seven Nation Army, the next time Tendayi plays?

It will certainly be our first.

But I have noticed a decent amount of immigrant Zimbabwean families are representing at academy level (particularly east midlands including ours).

Anyone remember Peter Ndlovu and Benjani ? Their most famous being Bruce Grobbelaar of course.

Peter Ndlovu was a decent player, remember him for Coventry.

    90s footy ey !

Somehow also remember him popping up for our nemesis Warnock around the play-off time with the blades too.

But his Sky Blue days were the stand out one's. Poor club gone rotten now.

Can catch Ben Brereton at 4:30 if he plays : https://mycujoo.tv/bfunion?id=10055

Can listen to Appiah at 7:00 if he plays : http://livesportsfm.co.uk/

Brereton come on for last 20 for England u19s.

Fashioned 2 good chances beating the off-side trap. First one well saved and 2nd pulled wide. But got his goal with nice run to the near post and guiding it in beautifully.

Maybe he's been learning from Daryl Murphy.

Good day all round for Forest young guns with Arvin Appiah scoring the 2nd from a deflection and set-up the winner as England u17s came from 2-0 down to win 3-2 against a very talented Portugal u17 team. Appiah ripped them a new one 2nd half including getting hacked down by Portugal u17 captain (Embalo who is a serious talent) which lead to him getting sent off. Made a number of dribbling runs beating defenders for fun.

Arvin might need his own thread soon. What a performance!

Give him and his group a few more years varying on each player. They could easily get initial chances at the very top with us.

4300 there to watch the U17s. Seems like a real interest in English youth football atm, which is excellent

Love how Appiah did all the hard work ('wicked' delivery for the second goal and laying on the pass for the third) and Gerrard's cousin gets the 'hero' tag. Guess it's who you know that counts in Fleet Street.

    Very true.

At least the Daily Star found the will to create the headline "MARVEL ARVIN"

Worrall and Dowell start for England u21s in their Euro u21 qualifier vs Ukraine.

Dowell assist for Solanke & they lead 1-0
