I don't think MW was ever one game from the sack

Never from the clubs point of view.

Some mong supporters wanted him out but there was absolutely no noises from the club about it.

Stam however, was set to go before our game with them - and that's from the club.

I like my stats but don't read everything into them.

Whoscored is fantastic though. Combine football passion with statisticians. Probably a dream job for a few.

Like you say having a full midfield must be a first and highlights our dominance and their statistical understanding of football.

So much for my thinking it would be a "bum cheeks clenched together" squeaky win to us.

Turned out to be a 'cheeks fully parted, bombs away!' dumping on QPR. And apart from a couple of moments where, if they hadn't been so 'two left feet' up front they would have scored themselves, it was a job well done.... four jobbies well dumped in fact.

Shame there's another 2 week delay until Birmingham but more time for us to refill the bowels up ready? Time will tell.

Our most convincing performance since Huddersfield last season, apart from Murphy having a bit of an off day in front of goal it was pretty much spot on all over.

Once we got going they really couldn't live with our Football through midfield. Osborn was fantastic and linked everything together superbly - please don't put him back on the left! In that mood Dowell is a bit too good for this level and we had massive threats down both flanks. Pleased for Tyler, his recent sub appearances warranted a start and he more than delivered.

Mancienne was superb too, despite giving away about 3ft to Smith, he dealt with him brilliantly.
