I've broken tradition by making this thread and may have cursed the game:

YYEEAHHHAAAAAAAAAAAA Fawazzock!!! Fight the fucking power!! Stick it to the man!!

Forest to win 4-3, Ward to pretend to be sick when he looks at the sheep fans as he celebrates the winner, the ghost of Clough to return & say "actually, I much prefered Nottingham", and Billy Davies to jump from behind a billboard and knee Rowett in the nackers!!

I aint dieing for no white man!

If this is the official matchday thread I think we need to take stock.
Even the title of the thread is wrong... so wrong.

Well, for starters I'm looking for it to read 'Derby County 0'.

I really hope / feel / think that Warburton will have learnt much from the Villa / Fulham / Sheff W games when it comes to our teams capabilities and in the 2 week recess will have weighed up his ideals against what is in the dressing room to carry it out. If I'm right we'll show to be stronger at resisting than we have been. Beyond that, a goal or two at their end would be a very nice bonus, thank you.

Out of 12 games this season Derby have only failed to score in 2. Those 2 games were against 1st placed Cardiff & 2nd placed Wolves.

If we get a clean sheet away from home at a team with that record I'd say that would be nothing short of stunning mate.

    But here's hoping you're right

Glitch in the Matrix chap. Now do you take the blue pill or red pill?

You take the blue pill, the journey ends. You wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. That Marthur's press-driven lies are true, that McClaren & Miller are without doubt the best way to secure promotion, that the playoffs are an absolute given with our squad & that what is holding them back is the manager.....

Or you take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.............

Why, oh why did we take the blue pill?

When was the last time we drew? Mav told me this last week, it's something daft like 13 or 18 matches. This has 2-2 or 3-3 written all over it.

For what good it's done them so far Alf. Besides, the way goals have been going in in this league it wouldn't surprise me if most teams currently have a similar record.

They are beatable so are therefore stoppable. So are we, but I feel we should go into the game with enough of an edge to at least hold them at arms length.

Most teams averaging at least a goal a game, its a free scoring league. I say lose the preoccupation with clean sheets & enjoy the attacking side of our game.

Middle of the table sides don't put in masterclasses at both ends of the pitch, whilst we're in transition, lets rejoice at what MW is offering in the opponents half of the pitch. Its been a while since we could say that with any conviction.

    I think we'll win.
This is a very different Barcelona side to what we've been used to. Sold their best players and have yet to click, if they ever will.
Would like to see Vaughan and McKay back in. Plenty of options up front, in fact, we could destroy them.

    3-1 to the Red Dogs.

P.S. Can Tom Ince still get MOTM even though he isn't there anymore?

Don't remember a shaggers game where we've looked better placed to take home the spoils.

We've already shown ourselves capable of overcoming Rowetts cynical shitty football, there in very indifferent form & we've shown some real bollocks against a top Sheff Utd side.
The footballs coming on, we've looked half decent on the box & the international breaks given us a bit of time to iron out the defensive lapses.

    Smith
    Lichaj Worrall Mance Fox
    Bridcutt Bouchalakis
    Cummins Dowell McKay
    Murphy

Torn between cummins & Brereton out right & McKay & Benny out left.
Just thought we looked a bit more solid with a flat back four, theres the potential for a quite a high line with that side, its also got pace & width for the element of surprise & most importantly goals in it.
Think we'll relent on the high pressing away from home & look to go on the counter a bit more.

    Confident for the win

    Shaggers 1 - Forest 2

And if / when that dries up (we're only a injury or two away from it) wouldn't it be nice to be able to hold on at the other end?

I'll never lose the preoccupation of being able to defend our own goal, mid-table or otherwise. I deem it rather important.

I do. Just after we'd tore West Brom a new arsehole at the Hawthorns.
