    Chris Cohen's replacement?

Watching him play now. Commentator said expected he'll join next week.

McGinn looks to have a cultured left-foot. Looks a little bit combative too, takes set pieces. Another smaller sized player, but looks a little more 'solid' in stature.

I've just flicked it on, not seen him play before but I've heard he's got a decent engine, good box to box and like you say doesn't mind getting stuck in.

Edit: He's a right stocky fucker!

FFS if this is true another 5ft nothing lightweight havent we got enough, i have seen bigger under 10 sides - we should have 2 playing at one time no more osborn vaughan bridcutt clough mckay ward cash and people wonder why we have no threat at corners and not enough height defending free kicks corners etc

The marking is the issue at corners not height. Can be rectified with training. Also, I think there's more than enough height between the back four yesterday (all of whom are over 6"), Bouchalakis and Murphy (6"1 & 6"2 respectively).

My main concern is that we're not addressing the issue that we don't have imposing defenders that are also confident on the ball, or a goalkeeper that inspires confidence in the defence. Bridcutt, Vaughan, Cohen, Cash, Bouchalakis and Osborn is surely enough for the centre, with Clough and Dowell as options in the more advanced role.

Also, when are we gonna offload some players?

Exactly. We don't need another 5'10" midget even if he can play a bit.

Can't say I know anything about this chap, but I'm sure it's another player Warburton and McParland will be familiar with from their time in Scotland. McKay and Cummings have been good additions, so if he's of a similar calibre of player he'll be a good addition.

Never heard of him before today but just watched a bit of the Hibs match. Looked a a good player. Good engine, puts his foot in, decent set piece, passes well.

I trust Warbs and his team on this one

I get the feeling that may well be the case. It's doubtful we will see much more of Cohen in a Forest shirt sadly (even as a bit part player), especially given his recent injury set back. Makes sense to bring in a replacement now if one is available for a decent price.

I trust Warburton and Frank and if they think McGinn will be a good addition to the squad then so be it but I hope behind the scenes they are going to bring in a tall centr back. The commentator on Sky was saying how many goals we have conceded from dead ball situations and look nervous.........I know I do.

Well he would know, having no doubt been subject to one himself when he came here for a bit.

Thankfully, we have a manager who appreciates Benny - as too did Davies, Pearce, Freedman and Montanier to be fair to them.

Anyone done the "more chance of Roger McGuinn" joke yet?

We'd be eight miles high for a signing like that.

Doesn't mean we won't sell him.

If Newcastle put a decent sized offer on the table we'd accept it. Not because Benny isn't good, but because we'll reinvest the money like Britt.

    £6m+ and he's gone I reckon.
