This move (regardless of whether it will go through or not) seems to follow the realization that Cohen is in his last year before honorary retirement, and neither Vaughan nor Bouchalakis are 40 games a season players.

He's 1 inch smaller than Cohen. Hardly a midget, is he?

If it pisses Lennon off, I say we buy the lad, no matter how good he is.

Ben Osborn, however, is being underrated by people on this thread. He gets the same slating every utility midfielder who's been at this club in recent times gets. He's beginning his fourth full season of first team football, had a chunk of this time affected by his illness from which he's come back stronger, and he's 23 - still way off peak age for a player of his ilk. Experience will improve his game, and I'd hate to see him leave.

Free role behind a striker to lead a pressing game, in my opinion.

Montanier's 5-3-1-1 formation that got us a few wins around November/December time was butt ugly... but it did really get the best out of Osborn in the role you mentioned. Scurried around and won scraps like a terrier, while also creating quite a few chances.

Also a case could be made for out wide on the left in a 4-4-2 when he has more men to aim at with his crossing and not as much pressure to beat his man. However if Brereton makes runs in at the back post from the right, I think Osborn could still have use on the left flank in a one up top system (not at the expense of McKay though!).

Bring back Mance and Fox as wing backs I say!

Neil Lennon says £5m... so that's it. It's £5m, forget him...

I'm pretty sure from his interview he gives away their valuation of him isn't even £5m, that's what Lennon thinks he is worth.

He's worth whatever someone is prepared to pay for him.

I'm surprised that after Saturday and watching the rest of our midfielders inability to fight for the ball, that his worth to the team isn't recognised by some.

How much did we pay for Clough?

It's not about "binning" Bouchalakis; it's about having another centre-mid option when things aren't happening, as was the case on Saturday. Some extra energy/dynamism in there could've made a significant difference to our performance and possibly the result.
