With a nice local award winning brewery like Castle Rock just down the road, I have no idea why we are still serving flat piss water.

Harvest Pale on tap would immediately improve quality and support a local business. I bet they'd even create a new custom ale for the club if a deal was struck.

It would provide an incentive to get fans to the ground spending money rather than in a local pub until just before kick off.

Add a bit of nice quality food like that bratwurst and I'd happily give the club an extra £10-20 a game, rather than the £0 I spent in the ground today.

There are several guys in Clifton street near Wilkos selling brilliant quality street food for around £5 from a van. We have a whole stadium and can't manage anything edible.

It's always annoyed me when you finally get served and the bottle of beer is warm not even remotely cold.

It's expensive but if it was cold I could live with it.

The kiosks are tiny, not enough staff, no organisation etc. I don't know the ins and outs of who runs or owns the catering side but if the club could get this right they could make decent money every home game especially with the bigger attendances.

I believe the new owners will eventually get this right. But if we are all honest they've had a massive pile of shit to sort out already. Priorities are the team but I genuinely believe the owners will get our club functional and successful again.

I'd always thought the same about trent bridge too. It's not like they're selling Stuart Broad and Brian Clough beers at the moment is it ... oh, wait ...

The catering is external so Forest have little to no say in how its run, also when your serving bottled beer its always going to be warm they wont have enough fridges to keep the beer cold nor will they be able to keep it in a large fridge and transport before half time as Itd be too difficult.

You could have tasting notes and stay down at the bar all afternoon talking shite about tone and aroma too instead of watching the football.

    Lager. Cold. Quickly.

The 'meal deals' being a saving of 10 or 20p off the cost of the items added together individually isn't really an incentive either

I disagree, when you sub-contract to someone you have a duty to provide a good service to their customers. I'll bet that if it is bought to the managments attention then someone at the "New" Forest will be on the mother fucker, things are changing.

I don't know if the person who is charge of all the catering at the City Ground reads this forum or if someone on here knows this person then get him/her to visit the various outlets on match days.
In my opinion it is getting worse and the vast majority of people just give up in the end.
Someone asked if all stadiums are like ours well off the top of my head Brighton and Coventry are excellent but of course they are both relatively new stadium.

Easiest thing to sort out should be the cobs the burgers are in. What bakery do they come from?

Wastage wise they realistically could only buy in what they can sell.

Its why bottles and cans make more sense as they keep.

He asked a question, where was better. I answered that.

As anyone who has been to a Bundesliga match will tell you, the Matchday experience for the paying punter is significantly better.

That I live there isn't relevant at all.

Can we have croissants and maybe pain au chocolat?

Now that would go down well.

I think 'odd' is a good thing. Oddness shows originality, uniqueness and a desire to be different from the masses. Oddness is, maybe, only deemed 'odd' by the majority who are considered less odd but only by their own blinkered observations and understanding. Oddness should never be criticised but be encouraged to nurture, develop individualism and to explore the mind rather than conform to expectation and 'normality'. Many of the world's greatest works of art and prose were born from those minds many considered to be 'odd'.

Why the hell they don't have vending machines for everything other than hot food and beer is a mystery to me. That would halve the queues, stick them away from the bars. In the Brian Clough upper, everyone queues in a small block, and you have to get through them to the bogs. Have a beer or have a p*ss is the half time choice.

It was about 10 or 12 years ago and I went with a mate who was an away fan of another club. We were in the side stand that had terracing and housed away fans. There was a big corner expanse of land between this stand and the away seating behind the goal that served a nice fresh cob crammed with bacon. I seem to remember it was a reasonable price too. In 30 years of following football it stands out as the only positive food I have had inside a ground. Which is a piss poor show really as it was so basic. It does show though how easy it can be.

Went to watch Berwick vs Partick Thistle in a cup game once. Cracking pies and the old gal in the catering hut handing out free orange juice because it was a warm day. Well warm for that part of the country.

By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?

It's a pint of Harvest Pale, hardly complicated. If you think that's pretentious I hate to think what you're eating and drinking.

Says a lot about how bad our current catering is if people think maintaining and ordering correct stock levels is some sort of impossible witchcraft which makes selling warm bottles the only option.

As has been pointed out in this thread, they manage it fine 100 yards away at Trent Bridge.
