    Default ALLAN McGREGOR

Nottingham Forest want to snatch Scottish international keeper Allan McGregor if he can leave for free.Forest boss Mark Warburton wants an experienced goalkeeper as No 1 and McGregor,35 is out of favour at Hull City. The Tigers are keen on Wolves keeper Andy Lonergan as they look for a new gloves man. If MW is not simply trying to hide potential targets from the media when he insists that there will only be one more addition, and if that addition is a goalkeeper for the bench, then there seems not to have been enough money available in this transfer window.

But the first if is a big one, and one should wait until the end of the transfer season.

I thought MW want's a G.K who's confident on ball, so we can play out from back. From what I know of McGregor he's not that type of G.K.
Hull under Bruce & Cardiff under Warnock definitely aren't sides that played it out from back.
Big no thanks. Sooner stick with Smith & Henderson.

Mehh, be very disappointed with this move - Stick with Smith...his distribution can be worked on and will get better. Would rather see this money spent in the middle of the park

I would like to think our manager would stick with the GK's we currently have and spend the money in other areas.

Would be gutted if he dropped Smith , He hasn't done anything wrong other than some Dodgy distribution, I can only guess MW would like someone to command his area more I don't know.

I doubt Smith would be dropped right now, but what would happen if he got injured? We need someone (ideally a more experienced player) to compete with him for the shirt. Evtimov should be going out on loan.

Signing an erratic foreign keeper with no Championship experience?

Pretty sure this is a completely different road.

Warburton's quirky nickname in Renton's gang would be Crust.

Or, as Mark was referred to as by Rangers' fans, the Breadman.

It's hard not to love a good old fashioned collapsed deal. Hopefully because of a sickeningly derisory offer.
