This lad needs to be pulling the strings in the final third.

i think it's because (and I'm inclined to agree) that with his lack of physical size he's going to struggle to find and retain his "rightful" place on the pitch. He'll get muscled out, eased to the bench and such then become unhappy.
Hope not because he's got talent in abundance but perhaps with Warburton's way, there just won't be a regular place for him.

    "This statement is false."

Yeah, that's his best position, but my point is we've got tonnes of attacking options but limited quality in the middle. Just my opinion, but that's where I think he'd most benefit the team.

Is this the closest anyone's got to a 'round peg in round hole' joke? Remarkable.

    Oh FFS.

I'm guessing from your user that you know more about him than we do?
    Any insights?

Alex I think this user posted quite a bit in the transfer section about him. They were hoping he was going to be in their first team squad this season. Gutted to see him leave etc

Sincerely hope this guy is going to be the bees knees. Fed up with aged old men coming with big reps to feed their pension pot or young tyros like Chalobah who flattered to deceive.

If we are going 4-3-3 I want to see Brereton down the middle, Dowell down the right side cutting in and McKay down the left cutting in.

McKay plays either right or left - I see McKay right and Carayol left as our most dangerous winger combination.

It is early days for McKay but I prefer him to Carayol personally if he keeps up Friday's performance. Carayol doesn't carry a goal the threat that I reckon Dowell and McKay will. It is all good competition though so I am happy with our forward three options.

Without wanting to get too far off-topic, I'd much rather have McKay cutting in from the left. I know we've only seen a small sample size but he appears to be superior to Carayol in most departments - pace, drbbling, shooting.

If he can do the same on the right, it would be deadly to have them both on the pitch.

Hmm, I dunno what his weaker foot is like. My guess is we'll see McKay and Carayol fight it out, and Cumdog and Dowell do the same on the other side. That combination of a player who can cut inside + an overlapping full back could be very nice when things start to click.

Have to be honest I see Dowell fighting for the #10 role rather than left of a front 3.

    Which would mean you have

RW - Brereton, McKay, Cummings, Walker
FW - Vellios, Murphy, Cummings, Walker
    LW - McKay, Carayol, Osborn
