No way is he going for more than £5m as it stands because he's already starting to reach peak physical attributes and actually he's not that fast, strong or agile so will purely rely on technical ability and game smarts.

I don't think any Premier League club will be interested in Summer as it stands.
He's English, doing well, he'll cost a fortune.

HP Had talent but very raw and a loose canon, also being from a non English club where theh don't overprice their talents ut didn't surprise me too much although i would of guessed he'd of gone for around the 1.5m mark

Don't get me wrong, I like Dowell, but £15m is what the supposed best players in this league go for, and I'm not yet convinced Dowell is the best player in a mid-table team.

Which Premier League club is going to spunk that sort of money on him when he's untested in the league above? He's not physically ready for it either.
Have you not been paying attention to fees in this league? Mccormack went for 11 million what 5 years ago, Rhodes has gone for 11m twice, soon we will be seeing a player like Britt go for 20m in this league.

I don't think there is a hope in hell of us getting Dowell permanently.

If he comes available, there will be competition not only from top end Champ clubs, but plenty of Prem clubs too.

Everton rate the guy. I know they have Alladyce now, but he will want to keep a talented home grown kid, it keeps the fans onside.

This is great news. Dowell is crucial to our hopes for the rest of the season. Well done Everton. Well NFFC.

Noticed he only has 1 and a half years left on his deal and no sign of a new deal. Might be more available than we think?

    He's absolute class.

Could easily slot in at a higher level than this.

Probably needs another season at Championship level, with say a club targeting the top six, to be really ready for the top level.

I think we’re very lucky to have such a talent in a Forest shirt.

When you watch him live it’s incredible just how much noticeably better he is than every other player on the pitch.

A pleasure to watch and the nearest we’ve had to that Premier class on the ball since Andy Reid retired.

I agree with this, even if it isn't us.

By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?

The young man has scored ten times, from Midfield.

In a side that has at times struggled.

It was noticeable that he put more of a defensive shift in against Wolves than in any other game.

I don't think he will be playing for Everton next season and that is not a reflection of his ability.

I always liked Everton with how they produced their own and never got carried away with over-spending but that has changed now.

Dowell's fellow u20 WC winners Calvert-Lewin and Lookman aren't even getting into 18-man squads at the moment.

    No chance.

They aren't stupid, and I'll buy a shirt the moment he signs for us.

Yep. Works out at around 1 goal in 3.

His first full season as a professional, in one of the most competitive leagues in the world.

    Impressive.

Agreed, not a lot of competition though.

Will only get better with more game time.

Wonder if it's one we can push the boat out for next season? Wouldn't need gelling time and without him we're going to have to buy a #10 anyway unless Grant is suddenly good enough because Clough isn't going to be that player.
