I am also confident the loan to County will have improved Jorge Grant no end; whether he stays with us, I don't know, but he would certainly have increased his marketable value with his performances for the saddles.
I am really excited for Yates and Grant. I canít wait till they get a chance here in the summer or maybe this January to prove themselves to MW. Itís going to be interesting for them, especially grant as he has to prove a lot of fans wrong as well.

    Not in a million years.

I think he would acknowledge that quietly but what 20 year-old wouldn't be excited by a premier league chance with your hometown club.

I think this is why Warbs was so jumpy on the topic.

There is a clause like that in pretty much every loan deal.

And agree, nowhere near ready for Prem. Hatrick will make Everton fans think he's ready but he's been average in a large amount of games this season.

I think Dowells had a couple of quiet ones, but been excellent for the most part.

He'll be ready in the summer. In my opinion he needs a full season as a senior team player before hitting the Premier League.

Playing regularly in the Championship is the perfect learning experience, and that's without the rose tinted glasses on.

To be honest, if Everton ask him to come back and offer to give him some game time or a new contract which often happens in these situations, he'll want to go back.
He's an Everton fan and they holding the aces because if Dowell wants to go back, we're not gunna want to keep a player here against his will.

Itís also match fitness. If he played 40-odd games for Forest this season, his overall fitness would improve massively. And that would benefit Everton better than him playing here until Christmas then spending the next five months as a mostly unused substitute.

Besides, when they get relegated to the Championship for next season, imagine the positive of having at least one player with an entire season at this level under his belt?

For all we know the clause might be there in our favour, on the off chance that we make a permanent signing in January that negates any further need of Dowell. If we don't manage to acquire anyone, we still take Dowell for the second half of the season.

The new managers priority will be to make the players they spent millions on less of a disaster, I doubt they will want to throw in a youngster that has been hit and miss.

Would be silly to send him back. Kieran's never going to be a strong player, but his game is going to rely on his speed and fitness, which he is more likely going to get playing regular first team football than being in the under 23s and with the odd cameo in the first team he'd get if he goes back. Fortunately, he seems like an intelligent lad so can probably work this out.

It’s the benefit of giving someone a bit of time. He’s adapting and starting to flourish.

If we are pushing for promotion in January MW has to try and keep him, remember what happened in Billy Davies first stint when we failed to secure a loan player till the end of the season?...we stayed in this league.

They will destroy his progress and confidence if he goes back to Everton in January. He needs the full year with us, and thatís using logic and not my new found infatuation of this sexy man. Think weíre the same age tbh lol

I think he was on it from the first minute he came on against Millwall. The odd quiet game, but who doesn't?

He made all the right decisions today. Every pass had purpose and released it in timely fashion.

I'm noticing we are breaking forward quicker than we have been in previous weeks, thought Warburton was spot on when he said post-match that we aren't taking the extra touch in the attack. Everything is flowing forward and at high pace.

Dowell seems to be one of those that makes the right decision when he has less time to make it.

He has a lot of features in his play/attitude that reminds me of a very young Theirry Henri. Not as much finese, but the awareness of the moving team and willingness to play the unpredictable pass is sublime.

Just one clever touch from him on the edge of our own box allowed us to rip them apart and get to their box in under seconds in one move.

He's the brains in the middle, With Bennys energy, they were irresistible in tandem today.

Dowells a real talent. Thought his all round game was a joy to watch.
