    Default Daryl Murphy

A few whispers on Twitter. I hope it isn't true; I'm sure it'd spell the end of Britt if it was.

34 years old and will be on massive wages at Newcastle.

Not really the kind of signing I'd like us to make.

I can't see this fitting into our recruitment policy. We've picked up young and hungry talents with a point to prove - a journeyman looking for a payday doesn't make sense to me.

I also can't see him fitting into our recruitment policy BUT I remember when he was at Ipswich he always caused us big problems.
If Warburton feels that he is he 'man' then I rely on his judgement.
I have watched BB recently playing for England as a centre forward and I have been very impressed and if Britt goes then play Ben up front.

Wait? Didn't someone just make a joke about Daryl Murphy in the Britt thread in response to the mention of the initials DM (direct message).

We're not really linked with him are we?

This wouldn't make sense to me. Doesn't seem to fit our current recruitment brief so I think we can dismiss this one. Well past it and not as good as Vellios who is seemingly on his way out.

I suspect thats what started it.

Murphys a poor mans Vellios, not an obvious fit for the MW plan.

Jesus it don't take much to get the twatters roped in does it.

He's gone back to chasing dwarves.

He's a real charmer; for example, I've heard when his current flame gets home, he greets her with chocolates, flowers, champagne, and he runs her a nice warm sink.

Interesting. Warburton has gone for experienced pros in the past, see Barton/Clint Hill at Rangers. This one very much in that mould. Can't imagine he'd play much if he came but certainly could be useful being in the right place at the right time on a Tuesday night game in the winter to collect a draw/win.

I think if we're going for experienced pros, we need one in midfield. Not up front.

I saw that joke on reddit the other day too. You've been rumbles, Chris!
