Was surprised when he signed for liverpool but adam did well for bolton and he's vastly experienced. Better than henderson.

Don't get why we'd be even looking for a keeper. You don't need to rotate them and they hardly ever get injured unless really unfortunate. Smith is fine.

vlad is garbage , henderson is rubbish , the rest including smith are youngsters. Jordan smith needs competition and a loan keeper as experienced as bodgan would certainly provide that. The days when the entire squad , we had only one goalkeeper is gone. Remember when we had paul smith as the one and only keeper for about 2-3 years. Good or bad, he was undroppable

If Smith looked like he may become complacent about the shirt then Id agree, but he doesn't.

All this talk of loaning him as competition for Smith.

You don't loan a keeper to make him second choice.

If there's a clear first and second choice, it's not competition.

This puzzles me as I've full confidence in Jordan Smith and we have 2 back up keepers so as far as I'm concerned a goalkeeping position is already sorted.

I kind of agree, as I've been impressed with how Jordan has quickly established himself from being, literally, bottom of the pecking order to seizing an opportunity that looked like would never come his way - but I do temper this with the nagging feeling that all young, inexperienced goalkeeper will inevitably hit a rough patch that tests their self-belief at some point. Also, I'm curious as to who you consider the 2 back ups? Stoijkovic has been proven to be unsuitable and is on his way out, Henderson has a potentially-career threatening or ability limiting injury and Evtimov doesn't seem to have developed as expected.

Especially not if he's Hungary for success.

Let's get Shilton back in goal. You can't beat him with the ginger stick.

If Henderson is still a long way off fitness then certainly bring someone in but I believe that Smith should be the number 1. He hasn't done anything wrong and when I look back at the Ipswich match I dread to think of what might have happened if Smith hadn't made that great save.

Smith is fine and deserves a shot at establishing himself as No.1 next year. Henderson is a decent, experienced back up. If Henderson still hasn't recovered and anything happens to Smith then we can bring in a goalkeeper on loan if needs be.

Given that finances are most likely going to be tight, and we have other areas of team that are in far more urgent need of strengthening, I don't think we should be wasting money on another goalkeeper.

Yeah but you can legislate for that. De Vries would have seen out the season but left, Henderson dropped in but had a terrible spell in net and rightly needed a replacement drafting in. Vlad did ok but when Henderson got his second chance he took it, but then got injured. Then Smith came in and did well.

Only one long term injury there and that is fairly rare for keepers in a season. So, provided we don't sell Smith, then he starts season as number one and, on the likely chance he doesn't get injured immediately then we have Henderson coming back to fitness as a decent enough second choice.

Don't get the needs to add a new keeper into the mix unless it's a huge improvement on Smith, a keeper who might sneak us into top six, and I'm not convinced Bogdan is that keeper. Rather let Smith continue to develop.
