    You clearly need people upfront.
You forgot Yates, who is injured but may well play a part this season.

It's like they are just making random decisions to make it seem like they're doing something to earn their money. "Shall we tackle the big issues in the EFL this season, Dodgy owners, Dogdy refs, FFP Nah lets just spend 6 months debating on when the transfer window should end."

I don't think he did forget Yates, but put Yacob in twice

It's not like that, it is that.

Congratulations, you may now become a football club CEO.

Blackburn have just signed Lewis Holtby. Decent signing to be fair to them.

I would send the loanees back bar Semedo. (Loanees : Muric, Bostock, Semedo, Rafa Mir)

Darikwa or Jenkinson can leave. Can see Darikwa being more happy to be back-up.

Smith can cover Brice. Get Shankland, Walker or another CF in for Rafa Mir. Such a tough one to weigh up. We realistically looking for someone happy to be back-up to Grabban but capable of potentially performing for us to get promoted and then perform in the Prem. Not many clubs actually have 3 CF options in a squad. On promotion we all know we will need to get a nice new shiny number 9.

Hoping Mighten can show what he is about. A winger becomes less important to get.

Out of contract end of this season (not including bomb squad guys like Steele & Yacob.)
    Smith
    Dawson, Robinson, Benalouane
    Watson
    Ameobi

Kill two birds, get a prolific goal scoring winger like Grosicki or Bowen.

    Id also keep Bostock.

Don't disagree with much of that at all.

I can't see anyone being too willing to take Jenkinson from us though. Ridiculous waste that was/is. Was clear as day from the start.

I think we have two genuine needs. Pace and Power. If we can get some genuine pace on the break out wide and up top, i'll be very happy.

We can seek perfection and look to improve everywhere, but I think with how the squad is together, it would be unnecessary and detrimental.

Just want to see us add someone who can turn defence into attack at the flip of a coin. Will make us that little bit more effective in our current style. Obviously not him, but an Adama Traore for example. Who can run 50 yards with the ball, beat people for pace and all of a sudden you've gone from being under pressure to winning a corner/free-kick.

Maybe that's not in the thoughts of Lamouchi and his team. We'll have to see. I just think it's something we need and would give us a bit more of an edge. I'm just mindful there's occasions where we break from an opposition attack and we have one, sometimes 2 travelling up the pitch, and no-one really with the power/speed to regularly turn it into an attack, bar the odd rare example.

I'm just very wary of the January market. Especially in the market Forest are going to be in. We don't have the money to over-pay for quality and we genuinely still in more of a risk-taking market being a championship club selling Appiah to help us pay off players which we still need to do with Pantilimon, Hefele, Clough for example if we don't get promoted.

I would be all in for Grosicki but if we really wanted him he was there this summer for 4m but we instead got free transfers in Ameobi and Adomah.

I would love Bowen but we not going to spend 15m.

I do get what you saying about getting up the pitch and in an ideal world if we had serious money I think we could get quality to perform in the Prem with us too after we give a 3/4 year contract. We have in Cash/Yuri and Lolley/Ameobi/Adomah to a certain degree able to perform those roles. I know that is what Mighten's game is all about. It is more worry if Cash/Yuri don't play for me.

Maybe we get Jordon Ibe on loan ?

Jenkinson wasn't a waste. Darwika is out long term and we needed a player who could slot straight in as back up/competition for Cash who was new to the role. He still has a part to play when he recovers.

We don't need many changes in January. An attacker with pace would make the biggest difference.

And hopefully offload some more of the bomb squad.

Jenks was knee jerk & overpriced. Right idea, clumsy execution and that 2m + the loanee wages would prob have landed us Grosicki.

Sure lessons have been learned. Jan will be different. We're on it

I think the fact he's only managed to play four games, with his past injury record, is the only reason people are writing him off.

I doubt anyone predicted Cash upping his game and absolutely winning that right back position. The Jenkinson decision made some sense at the time, even though I agree in hindsight it was not ideal, given his injury record.

If we're still in the top six by January do we go for broke and give the manager the stellar signings that he has earned? Gayle and Colback from the Geordies with a promotion bonus for the former and a place where he's actually wanted for the latter... taking the unloved ginger stepchild out of Bruce's reach may give Newcastle incentive to give us Gayle too.

Perhaps review the loans for Walker and Richardson, and see if they'd benefit more from backup roles at Forest rather than more minutes further down the ladder. That's probably something for those two to consider on a personal level.

I'd still love to sign Grosicki, and given the expiry of his contract in six months he may be at option, although Hull did screw us around with Dawson in a similar situation a couple of years back. Bowen and Watkins would be dream signings but I don't see either of them leaving their currently clubs for less than eight figure fees.

Yes mate, we cant keep waiting decade after decade, we have to be decisive and ruthless if we're in with a shout in Jan.

Proper quality in to make the difference at last.

Warorl dashing towards the wooden box 24/7, we cant keep stagnating.

Agreed pal. It's time for money men to step up at the club and find us some real quality when we need it most.
Too many people around Forest have been let down over the years by a lack of support and funds from up top.
Another year or two at this level and we can say goodbye to stars like Worrall, Cash and Samba. They're destined for the top.
Ask anyone at Leicester if they give two fucks about breaching FFP regulations a few years back. They've won the PL, sacked a PL winning manager, had 68 memorial days and several peace gardens built for their owner, turned Wes Morgan into Beckenbauer and stuck 9 goals past Southampton in one game since we last reached the Championship Play-offs all those years ago.

Keep Bostock, it only takes a couple of injuries in that area of the pitch which can easily happen as we've seen with both Sow and Semedo. He's still got good quality.

Jenkinson isn't wasted money yet. It's easy to think like that because Cash has played so well and injury free but let's not forget if he does get injured or suspended then if Jenks wasn't here we'd be without a RB.

Still just a striker and a winger for me, the team dynamic and unity is fantastic so any more than that could upset it. I think if we recruit well in those positions we are well placed to finish top 6.
