Its very hard to look past the performance of a few in that list V Blackburn.

To be fair though for every Blackburn match there was a Huddersfield.

We wouldn't have needed a Huddersfield if the job would have been done V Blackburn

Why are we classing Mancienne as a midfielder?

We survived by the skin of our teeth. There were far more Blackburns than Huddersfields.

Scowen looks set for QPR, his Dad is pretty active on Twitter and started following a load of QPR related accounts. Hopefully might mean they're more willing to sell Luongo.

They were mainly away games though, at home we were pretty consistent.

Away games will make up half of the fixtures again this season.

We were pretty consistent away, too.

Luongo has never strike me as that special. If holloway is willing to let him go , i would question whether he is worth it as rangers will no doubt try to fleece forest for as much as he can.

We could just take the QPR approach, sign him and not pay, then when the FA get involved just tell the FA to shut up via letter with the return address being a London postcode.... the FA will be powerless.

    Sounds like a plan.

Currently playing for Aus against Chile on ITV4 if anyone wants to do a bit of scouting, anchoring their midfield alongside Jackson Irvine of Burton. Chile are always fun to watch as well Sanchez, Vargas, Vidal and best of all Gonzalo Jara!

Luongo is bossing this game after a slow start, bullying the Chile midfield, winning the ball and driving Aus forward. Absolutely clattered Vidal in the first half and got booked for it, he's been all over him since.

If he plays like this often I'd love us to get him.

So has this got any potential? Not been following Mahoney deal has annoyed me to much for me to be let down anymore.

I thought you were supposed to be the one in the know about these matters?

Well from past experience I'm guessing if we are interested it probably won't happen. Innit.

    Views from a socceroo/forest fan.

Luongo had a good game today for Aus in the confederations cup, drawing 1-1 with Chile (including Sanchez, Vidal, Jara et al). Luongo helped dominate the midfield alongside Jackson Irvine - we should have won the game, but as usual our weak attack couldn't force home the advantage.

Like others, I would be surprised that QPR would sell, but Luongo would certainly improve our midfield.

You were very unlucky today mate, Your midfield bested them after a cagey opening 20 minutes.

Yeah, just no cutting edge at this level. Tim Cahill has been banging a lone drum since the days of Viduka, Kewell and Emerton.

First time I've watched Irvine at length. I assume he'd be out of our budget, but he would make a huge difference, just what we need.

https://goo.gl/g9zaKC - Comparison of some of their stats per 90 minutes last season.

Seems Luongo is the better passer (that could be to do with the tactics their teams play), wins more duels both in the air and on the ground.

Irvine more clearences, blocks and interceptions and scored more goals.

Just from watching them both I'd say Luongo is more comfortable on the ball and the more technical player, which may suit Warburton more.

Interestingly Nixon has just told someone that we are interested in Irvine.
