At least this is something we can laugh about or otherwise respect, instead of the usual viewing through the hands held up to the face or involuntary gritting of the teeth when Fawaz committed yet another blunder.

    Boooo!

Bala Town were rivals of my home village side, the mighty 'Ruabon Saint Marys'. Ruabon SM used our Primary school's cloakroom as changing rooms and kept the nets, corner flags and pitch marking stuff in the old disused pig sty at the bottom of our garden. The first time my Dad took me to watch them, I got hit in the face by the ball, a bloody big brown casey. I bet they were playing those Bala hillbillies.

Swaggers had many a happy night drinking in the Bridge End Inn, Duke of Wellington and the Wynnstay Arms when he lived briefly in Ruabon, before moving onto a narrowboat at Trevor Basin at the start of the Froncysyllte Aquaduct, the highest in the UK.

Beautiful part of the world, totally overlooked by many which made it so much more enjoyable.

The Bridge End won the title of best pub in the UK 3-4 years ago. I used to frequent the Bridge End, The Duke (when Dave The Duke was landlord), The Vaults (now known as The Roundhouse), and The Nant (Great Western Inn). My childhood home was a few doors away from the Wynnstay on Park Street, across the road from the park gates. Used to walk to Llangollen along the canal from Trevor Basin as a child. For the sake of nostalgia, I took my two daughters on that walk about 5 years ago.

The Bridge End was CAMRA pub of the year in 2011 just during the five months I lived there.

Obviously Swaggers had a big part to play in it

Ahh, well I haven't been in there since 1984. But my Dad would have still been going in the Bridge End and Duke during your time there, Dai Tan Lan. Plus a bunch of my old school mates no doubt (not many actually escape Ruabon).

Even though Forest were always my 'big team' (My Mum was from Hucknall and had 5 siblings living here, so I visited a lot and was influenced by cousins), I didn't get a car until 1990 meaning visits to the City Ground were few and far between. So from 1976 until 1990, my Wrexham matches outnumbered Forest matches by about 20/1. What I've always found particularly pleasing is that 4 days after my 16th birthday, Forest clinched the League title and Wrexham beat Rotherham 7-1 to win promotion to the 2nd division.

Why is that not front page news yet? The title writes itself: "Marinakis sends his wishes to thousands of Forest fans but you'll never guess why".

My first ever Forest match was the loss to Wrexham in the cup.

    Oh FFS.

I didn't do much football after I turned 18 in 1980 until getting back into the habit in 1986. The only one I did in the 81-82 season was a Wrexham v Barnsley 0-0.

It did feel odd sitting in the away end at the Racecourse in September 1993, especially as I had only left Wrexham for Bramcote 6 months earlier.

My first Forest match was home v Man City February 1980. 4-0 win and Francis scored his first hat trick. Had a ticket for the Euro match v Ajax, but mate let me down on transport.

No, it's not. I don't have a sense of humor. The wife killed it long ago.
