Ah, I forgot to report something we learned for our team from our Forest friends yesterday (once again, guys, lovely to have met you).

The colours of Olympiacos were supposedly chosen by one of our founders, G. Andrianopoulos, because of his love for Arsenal (he had studied in an English college during World War I. What we didn't know is that Arsenal wore red and white because of you.

So, by association, you are responsible for our choice of colours.

Nothing fancy. I just love the series. It also reminds me my youth ages in middle 80s.
Moreover, Blackadder series was one of the first dvds I bought back then when people were buying and renting dvds

They wore our red shirts but to differentiate the teams, tied handkerchiefs to the sleeves, hence arsenal still having white sleeves on their shirts.

It was like that many years ago. Now it's extremely uncommon.

That was a thing decades ago. With one notable exception:

I'm on a business trip close to Thessaloniki. I return from work exhausted and go to eat at the hotel's restaurant. The waiter warned me that there would be noise later on. Soon after, a group of elderly Greek ladies arrived, aged from 65 to something like 90, I mean some of them could barely walk. Then I saw a guy, who I later found out was their tour operator, coach driver and entertainer, unloading sound equipment, a guitar and keyboards. I went to my room. The guy started singing old hits, terribly, and play the guitar, terribly, or the harmonium (that was even worse). The volume picked up, and the sound of clapping, singing and dancing by the old ladies became louder and louder. And then came the distinctive sound of plates being smashed. Many plates. And the old ladies shouting opa with every smashed plate.

The fact that I could not see them made the whole experience even more surreal. Next morning, the group was up for breakfast, very early and in mint condition.

    Grannies on steroids.

If it keeps Lefkasman off the forum then I'm all for it.

No serious damages (and no major injuries), but the epicentre was close to the surface, so it was felt like a very very big one.

    „Big“ Evangelos dropped his wallet?

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

Perhaps the club will feel uneasy with that choice and ask him to reconsider, but for the time being at least the Pantilimon rumour will have to be classified as BUPA.

Not only has young Tzolakis been consistently used as no 2 in all friendlies, but now Siabanis was dropped from the squad for the first European match, and his place as third keeper was taken by another 17 year old, Ilias Karargyris (another very good academy keeper).

It's quite risky to have only two 17-year olds as backup for such an important position, but Tzolakis has really impressed me (and the manager) and I would have liked us to continue taking that risk. Unfortunately, a more experienced keeper is supposed to be coming any day now. I just hope it's not Pantilimon.

Pantilimon gets a raw deal on here.

He's certainly more than good enough to be a solid no.2. I'd just be surprised he'd make the move knowing that would be the case, as she seems to move on from clubs to get football.

I'd happily see him remain at Forest as no.2 to Muric if he wasn't a high earner.

Pants probably is on higher salary than Sa. Not a lot of chances I think. More probably a keeper from our league as a second experienced one

I was going to say I’m sure he’ll be well paid for it but I’ve no idea. How much do you reckon he’d be on?
