    Died of a heart attack at only 44. Tragically young. RIP.

    Very sad.

    Grew up watching him play for Villa alongside Southgate and always thought he was better than his defensive partner. Deserved more England caps.

    Shocking news, still a young guy. Terrible.

    Was a quality player and probably should've played for England more than he did.

    Sven's first game in charge for England. When I had some sense of pride in the England football team and it wasn't an embarrassment to follow them.

    Ugo Ehiogu also happened to score the third and final goal in the game
