Default £3.5 million spent on agent fees!

How are we the third highest in the league, we've only spent a couple of million in the last few years on Vellios and Clough. The rest have been shit freebies and loans.

I wonder how much that Jarmain gets or whatever the lizards name is?

166% of wages to turnover last season is another disgrace. Still think McCormack's Prem wage was a good idea?

Agents are greedy, but gullible clubs are willing to pay.

    Fawaz is easy prey.
The signing of Texiera comes to mind for some reason.

Probably because we have picked up so many loans and freebies.

The agents love our Arab, they could sell him sand.

Ah thank God, was getting worried that the c*nts in the media hadn't had the knives out for a while.

Nice way to add a bit of unrest to upset the good setup we've now got in place.

I'd guess this too, we also have a huge squad.

It's a tough one, Fawaz has stepped back as requested, so he's paying someone else and they've had his pants down by the looks of it.
Another example of if you'd have employed the right people in the right roles in the first place...

Really? Your blaming the media? The media release the figures for every single club this time of year. For us to have such astronomical agents fees compared to our spend on transfers is worrying.

This isn't some agenda against the club by the media, it's what is happening.

Not blaming them, how on earth have you got that from my post?

I'm just pointing out they constantly release things which don't do us any favours.

I mean, who gives a shit? Seriously? You pay to watch a match, if it's good you enjoy it. Yeah the agent fees aren't great here but so what? Will you sleep better at night if agents get paid less?

The media - not just with football but as a whole - constantly release articles designed to stir things up, and keep people in a state of constant fear & worry. Why do you think they released this peice, so that it creates a harmonious state of acceptance amongst fans, or so that fans have another knife to stick in to whoever their desired target is?

Do we pay agents when selling a player? Just thinking about the Burke sale.

The press constantly release things which show our owner for waht he is.
A terrible owner with absolutely no business sense.

As soon as he goes the bad news stories will disappear as the club becomes run properly.

Is it also broken down by agent?
I wonder how hard eg Henri Lansbury's agent works for the wedge he's received this last few years?

By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?

This is just another example of why we're fucked financially. If we managed things better we'd be under less pressure to sell our better players. Until the club starts to be run professionally from top to bottom we're fighting a losing battle.

Not sure over what time period this figure was generated but it equates to a quarter of an Ollie Burke which is quite scary really.

They constantly release negative things when we are doing well though. They brainwashed half the fanbase into thinking our best manager in over a decade was the root cause of all our ills.

Christ look at the paranoia they caused over stuff like the mellenium bug & the Brexit etc. etc.

Ask yourself why do fans give a shit about agent fees? It makes naff all difference to us and has been the way the game has been structured for years.

All articles like these do is change fans disposition from one of contentment & happiness, to one of anger.

I pay it no mind. It makes fuck all difference to my life how much they earn. I'm happy just seeing entertaining, winning games.

If it pisses you off that much become an agent

It does make a difference alf

this along with his other mishaps will cause us to sell BB in the summer>loan high waged overrated players> and the cycle continues

I struggle to understand how you cant see that

It's one element among many that results in player sales. If agent fees were less we'd still be selling players.

    Of course

But if our agent fees were 1.5 instead of 3.5 we would be 2 million better off

2 million to be used elsewhere?

Just like if we release McKenna on a free that money gets spent on better players such as Greening & Boatwank.

Its not that simple. If the fees were different then that money would likely have been spunked away elsewhere on an Abdoun or Miller.

What's important is that we've restructured since, and said restructure is given time to show what it can do, without having to deal with the pressure of past sins.

Know in our clown of an owner I agree it most probably would be. Its just another example of the lack of control within the club.

Restructured? im not quite sure about that. Filled some positions that should of already been there. With our current structure we are still a long way behind other forward thinking clubs

Yeh lets give it time but the problem is weve heard this all before and things like this will always raise their head and pi55 people off. And who can blame them

I agree, but I'll say again chap - this club would be, and will be, 1000000% better off the less people react to the media hate-mongering.

As would the country for that matter. But that's a whole different ball game

Do we pay an agent simply because he represents a players we sign/sell or are these payments for introductions etc? I thought our manager/coach/DOF search out our own targets? All this is very confusing. When I was young we bought and sold players and there were no agents, I wonder how we managed?
