I've just read on the BBC website gossip column that Everton are close to signing Brennan Johnson from Forest. What do we know about him?
We know that he's going to Everton.
Stand Firm And Strike Hard
Does it matter.
It means Fawaz can have another skiing holiday.
I know he's a midfielder in the academy, that's about it. Which in itself is disappointing, but we don't know the circumstances, he might be a homesick scouser for all we know
His dad is, of course, former Forest favourite David Johnson, who has acted as a scout for a number of clubs, including Chelsea.
„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“
— Joe Strummer
Is he any good? Or is his Dad forcing a move through because of the prestige and possible money later?
Brian Johnson?
By 'eck, surely a good excuse for some "back in black".
Duh, der, der, duh, der, der, duh, diddle, diddle.......

Oh well, if we get a million quid from Chelsea then it will be probably be like Patrick Bamford and we can all move on.
If not, I'll be pleased to see if he can develop here. At a club where he'll probably get a chance.
Whats the situation now with the EPP plan? Can Everton just take him if they want being as they are category 1?
To be fair, you can see why a move to Everton would appeal. They've been giving some of the youngsters a chance and they've been doing well. Davies and Calvert-Lewin look good.
2/11ths of the team sheet! I see what he did there.
15 years old and no first team experience. Never going to make it. Take the money I say.
Will have enhance his rep further more by scoring a hat trick in our draw against cardiff in the U-18 match.
It says a lot when the clubs are acting like he (and others before him) is some sort of item for haggling over when he is a 15 year old child who is just learning his career as a footballer.
Seems odd really when you put it into context, that sport (football being the main offender) is the only real career where young children (he must be only in year 10 or 11 at school depending on when he was 15) are treated as objects that employers must have. You wouldn't hear about Tesco or Sainsburys battling for a school kid to work in their stores when leaving school or indeed for universities to actively pursue those who are academically intelligent.
I'm sure in this case Brennan's dad is courting the lad's potential around, but still, he is still a child.
You know what Fawaz says...if he's old enough to be gold, he's old enough to be sold.

Given that his dad is employed by that club, I wouldn't be too quick to rule that possibility out.
Could we sell him to Liverpool and pretend he's Brenn John-brereton, and keep the real deal here?
Tekkers.
