This signing looks increasingly like al-Hasawi acted independently on the recommendation of one of his agent 'advisors'. How many of these type of acquisitions has the club had to accommodate and finance during his tenure?

Far too many, is the answer to that one.

It was rhetorical Chris, but of course, you're right. It was yet another example of how he really has treated the stewardship of this club as a plaything.

Not really, he was signed on loan, no transfer fee was paid for him, unlike the lad from Chesterfield.

Over the years we have signed plenty of players who never made an impact on the pitch, christ, even Cloughie bought some donkeys at times.

It must be clear to everybody now that Fawaz was taken to the cleaners by his agent friends. It's the price he paid for not having a proper structure in place, and lacking experienced people who could have given him sensible advice. It's no good him claiming that he spent a lot of money on the club. He frittered it away on poor and unsuitable players. I still believe that his heart was in the right place and he genuinely wanted the club to succeed. He just didn't have the knowledge and intelligence to make a difference.
