This must be a first, rather than lose the dressing room, it appears the dressing room has lost Teixeira....

We've actually employed some geezer from Portugal with the same name, checked out his CV and realised he's a payroll assistant, and given him a desk job anyway.

We've had some seriously baffling transfers since Fawaz took over, but this one has to get first prize.

He has this uncanny ability to ghost in behind defenders.

Didn't we sign the wrong Joao Teixiera?

This is Joao, you can tell he's really happy with his new desk job.

I was salivating at the prospect of this signing too.

Could he even be considered for selection against Wolves?

Assuming he's available for selection, yes, of course he can. His loan to Wolves was terminated, hence his arrival here.

He looked pretty useful in his appearance for the U-23s the other week. He could be described as a clone of Zach Clough in both his style of play and stature, which possibly explains his lack of first-team game time.

    Not so sure.

I think I read at the time that technically he is on loan from Wolves

Actually, you may be right and, if so, I stand corrected.

Despite Benfica being his parent club, Wolves have evidently "sub-loaned" him to us, a process I was unaware of.

Maybe it's not allowed, hence why we haven't seen him

Kevin Gomis is outside and he wants a word.

Eight different managers. Fawaz signing his own players. Pereira signing players.
Our transfer policy has been a hotch potch disaster under Fawaz.

    Gomis played at least.

I know Fawaz can't go a month without some calamity or other, but these bizarre looking transfers do make you wonder if something financially dodgy is going on. Not saying it is, only that it would be an explanation.

I don't think there's anything dodgy going on, Fawaz probably just looked at our league position and panicked, bringing in one too many players

Gomis played a half a game and got substituted didn't he?

Fawaz is a total incompetent and has been let lose on a multimillion pound business.
    Disasterous 5 years and counting.
