    These debates are pointless.

I'm with Barry, they've all failed, who was worse at failing isn't something to argue over.

Currently, to remain higher in the table than AK did, with a club he inherited a worse position, and by spending far less money.

Some loans come off, some purchases come off. Seems like most successful managers in the Championship these days are those who strike lucky in the loan market. Problem is that they mostly have to go back to the parent club. Next season might not be so lucky.

Edit: I am talking about clubs without the Premier League parachute payments, which, of course, skew the balance.

Thing is mate you can debate about who's better than who without either having to have silverware attached to them.

There's no ban on discussing, and comparing, every other player other than Clough's, Clark's & Bassett's squads coz they didn't achieve anything.

If folk want to discuss who's the better midfielder between Prutton & Moussi etc. they can. neither achieved anything but everyone has their opinion on who's better.

My opinion is Warburton was/is not only a better manager than AK, but more importantly was a FAR better fit for our club. AK was still decent, but to me the embodiment of the worst approach we could take for a club like ours.

Is all in the past now, but we only grow from learning from our past mistakes. I'm glad AK got the support he did, but never bought into the spin that Warbs was a level below him, and what's on display currently backs that up.

Warburton's your kind of bread and butter manager that does well in this league, and QPR are on a roll, for sure, their rise up the table is there for all to see.

But the packed fixture list is sure to grain at some point and unless the manager uses his loaf expect to see them crumble.

Should that happen I think Warbs would be toast.

With the reckless way our board go through managers Lamouchi could be waving ciabatta in the not too distant future.

Let's see where he is in May shall we?

Assuming he is still there and hasn't been sacked.

Comparisons between AK and MW are never going to be "finished" until MW gets promoted. Even then people who've decided they don't like him will point to the fact it took him 5 years compared to AKs 2.

People judge success in different measures. Some people only want to see the end result, some people like to take account of underlying constraints when giving a judgement. Neither is wrong, so let's just move on and save our scorn for Cotterill and McClaren.

We should have an LTLF sports day where we all compete for the manager camp we're in.

Their wage bill was higher than ours at the last accounts.

Presumably that's accounts from the 17/18 season,
    A) Before we splurged millions.
    B) Before MW became QPR manager.
    C) When MW was NFFC manager.

'I left there very angry' - QPR boss Warburton on former club Nottingham Forest

    "I left there very angry.

"We hit every KPI. Reduce the average age of the squad, we did, reduce the size of the squad, we did, finish mid-table and we were 12th.

"At the end of the day it's his club so you can't argue with it, you just learn from it, so I left there angry.

"We don't get five points for beating Forest, it's three points, it's the next game.

"They're a very good team, they've made a strong start to the season.

"We prepare well, we respect them like we did Fulham.

"It's not about me, it's about the players, the supporters. My job is to prepare the players to put in a performance that the supporters enjoy and to go and get three points."

Sounds like he's going to fire up the QPR team for this game, they'll come racing out of the blocks.

Just hope they don't catch us cold.

Very interesting comments about KPI & age of the squad + squad size, then the following window we bloat the squad up & add a shit load of older players.

Can't blame folk for wanting the top brass to make their mind up, choose a direction & see it through.

Latest is giving a prickly, high spending AK 2.5 years on the contract, then a short term MON 18 months on his, to only give the man who's doing everything right whilst spending very little 1 year.

Hope it doesn't end up being the same as the Marthur era, put all the money into the hype & bullshit, then let the people who are doing the right things well scrape by on threpance & run out of contract.
