That’s called tactics. Eric has always been good going forward, it’s up to the manager to come up with tactics to exploit that if he so wishes. Under Dougie for example, our full backs stayed back 99.9% of the time. Under Billeh, they got forward all the time, especially Gunter.

Since Eric joined we’ve not really had full backs bombing forward all the time for prolonged runs of games. The goals he has scored though, shows he has a good instinct and confidence to attack.

Could improve his crossing but then we’ve not had a good crosser of the ball since Kris Commons.

I thought there were a few good balls pinged in on Sunday.

His interview with wife was amusing on 5 live this evening. Wonder if she will "get Gunner to bed"

Disappointed that the picture didn't include Gunner.

Rarely keep a clean sheet when he's in the side. Gives a penalty away in the last match, sent off in this one. Keep a clean sheet with a battling display without him.

Should he be playing every week when he gets back?

How many managers have tried to replace him only for him to outlast them? Pearce, Montanier, Warburton. Did Freedman? Maybe he is the manager slayer.

Yes, but as with any position we should be looking to improve.

Freedman brought in Kane from Chelsea.

Every manager has brought in a new right back, but he always ends up as first choice.

No, he's not. The biggest quality gap in your team right now is right back and left back.

He should put his hand in his pocket & refund all the away supporters.

We got Kane under Pearce, I think.

With some money that Sky gave us because a fan won us it?

You're bonkers if you think Eric Lichaj is a problem area in our side.

Over the years regardless of what problems we have had in a number of areas. Eric Lichaj, Chris Cohen (when fit) and Ben Osborn have turned up and given their best, offered a bit of talent and been consistently at a reasonably good level regardless of who the manager is.

They all fuck up here and there, they aren't the brightest talents in the world but they've always done their bit which is a lot more than can be said for a number of players that have graced our shirt over the years.

That should not detract from his talents either, the guy is actually pretty good at this level.

We used to say that about Morgan when were in the 3rd division. He seems to be doing better than we are now though.

I’ve been thinking for a few weeks now whether Eric is a bad apple. Was dropped and replaced by Warburton until Darikwa turned out shit. Has also been dropped by Karanka.
His celebration when scoring when returning to the side under Warburton was fun to watch- but a definite jibe at the Manager.
His new contract was also signed between managers

He also visibly undermined Montanier during the end of his reign at Wigan, if I remember correctly?

I think Eric does his best but is limited.
Danny Fox stuck up for him in his post match interview saying no one works harder than Eric in training and we covered him without blame because he would do the same for us.
