I think there has to be a certain amount of planning. The young lads don't grown on trees, they have to go through a fairly long period of training at the academy.

Unlucky to lose 2-1 against England in the second game but happy to have scored another goal!

    He was playing CB.

Monty needs to be brave , If he is going to put him on the bench then give the lad a few minutes.
His passing alone would make him an instant hit.

And he'd be right. Jorge Grant gives another showing whereby the game passes him by completely. I wanted the lad to do well but it's been a long time since I worked out his level is mid table league one at very best.

Give Anel a go Monty, you might like it.

Yeah, I think Grant, especially being a fair bit older than the lads coming in is only ever going to be back up at best at this level

Grant is finished, no point spending anymore time on him.

Bit unfair really, he hasn't had a full game this season and from what I've seen has never played as badly as Kasami (who hasn't been out of the team). Also worth remembering that when grant has played it's been alongside that useless Swiss twat.. PM is not doing himself any favours at the moment injuries or not. There are a number of players in our squad who just may as well not be on the pitch (all of which were brought in during the summer)..

If it's his first game be should be chompunge at the bit to give the manager a reason to keep him in the side. What do you think he did well yesterday to make him avoid any criticism?

He (Grant) looked devastated when he was subbed yesterday. He chucked his training top to the ground and plonked himself down in a huff. Did he know that yesterday was his last chance?

Whilst I do feel for the lad he hasn't done anything on the pitch to justify his place in the side and I think that Anel should get his chance now.

Best thing for Grant would be to get himself a loan to a League 1/2 club for the 2nd half of the season. He needs a run in a side where he can stamp his authority on the game because any scouts at yesterday's game would be forgiven for not noticing that he was even playing!

Seen this lad 4 times now live and he has all the attributes, if Monty won't use Vaughan, Anel has to start a game and see whether he sinks or swims

Maybe he's not quite ready, but I'd have preferred to see him start rather than giving Grant another go.

It only takes a second to score a goal.

Giving Anel a go on Boxing Day has to be done for me , Given the fact we are playing away from home.

I hope that Anel is the solution to the lack of action in midfield.

Didn't Cox run rampant on boxing day a few years back? Cox would have loved Anel. Even though occasionally he'd probably land him in the shit too.

Cox feeding Anel with a tasty cross would be a sight to see.

I think Anel would appreciate the attention with a large number of heads in the stadium. Certain privileges being with the first team brings and not being with the stiffs.

Including Anel in the side will definitely suit the game of your Bendtner types too.

It would be a real bummer if we don't see any Anel action. It might be tight, against Huddersfield but we need to find a way of easing him in, slowly at first but hopefully he'll provide more penetration than Grant.
