We do seem to be churning them out fairly regularly these days.

Is it that important to have a category 1 academy?

It makes it much easier to attract the best local talented players if we do.

Keep churning them out and lets have somebody with some fucking vision, get the production line strong so we don't have to keep buying and loaning these fukin 50p millionaires.

PM's bringing them through and I commend him but how much is out of neccessity? Concentrate on that Nigel Doughty Academy, in a few years, who knows, we could be a top flight team, sustainable and turning a profit.

    Hang on I'm dreaming again......

Is his first name actually pronounced like 'anal' or are we just assuming/ hoping that it is?

Yeah , The other players kept shouting A-Nell , Hope I haven't built him up too much , He is still only 17 and slight built , He will get better and stronger.
TBF he could do with a season with the u23 first having just moved up from the u18 , But then again Rooney was only young so fook it play him !!

I would like to think so to. But what is really important, is the fact that now his family (and friends) are seeing his/their investment in the club eventually starting to flourish and nothing would please him more.

It's good to be as capable at bringing in older lads and pushing them forward as it is to get them when they are kids. Not all talent is retained. We've let plenty go. Sean wright-Phillips and so on. If the NDA can turn a free transfer of 17-21 years old into a saleable asset then it's paying for the youngsters.

As for this lad, he's direct. He wants to play through the opposition. Like Clarke's great team. Like Antonio, Burke, Pereira, Guedioura... oh, you're in my way, are you? Are you really...

Doesn't matter how they line up if you can get past them or earn a free kick more often than not. If he can take the ball off people at our level without being all Lansbury about it then he'll be in the side in no time.

Unfortunately I don't think it's a planned thing that we've got the best record in the country at the moment for bringing young players through. However there's no doubt the Gary Brazil is the most valuable asset we have and long may it continue.
