Default Matchday 20: Millwall Fan Comments

It will be a tough game as they don't concede many goals, they've lost only once away to Wigan so can be beaten. Not sure what kind of atmosphere we'll get on a friday night so close to Christmas and it being televised. The new era has filled us with optimism again, the players look happy and are giving all they've got, i reckon we will beat them. COYL.

We have beaten them at home on there last two visits where they've failed to score. Williams likes to score against them so I might have a small bet on him at decent odds.

Tough game, Iíll take a draw but hoping for more.

Think we will need at least 2 goals to beat them.

This will be a good test to see if we are progressing.

Got to be a better crowd and atmosphere than we had v Wigan... Only 6 points ahead and if we get a win and rests elsewhere go our way, could make for a good weekend.

Course it will, 1600 Forest helps. One of the best things about Championship is plenty of big old school clubs with decent numbers.

Gonna be very tough but if we turn up we can nick it, good service to whoever leads the line, and keep that **** Grabban quiet.

Rumour has it Wallace has agreed a 10m move to Villa.

Disgusting club have charged full price for this match! And have got the crowd they deserve.

Well you never go anyway so what's the difference?

I'll have you know I write for the matchday programme.

Look mate, we all know you're at home watching it on the box, stop talking bollocks.

Donít be bitter cos Iím more Wall than you!

Define being "more Wall" that a fellow Wall who actually goes to games. Sorry, got to get back to my seat, enjoy your shit sky commentary.

A true Wall fan would know what I meant.

Fuck me!!!!! Did I just see Williams head a ball and a goal!!!!!

First 15 minutes we look like fucking Brazil.

Romeo and Jed are taking the right piss down the right...

Good for the most part but think we will rue only going in 1 up, they cant be as bad in the 2nd half with their strong attacking bench

Wallace will definitely be gone with this performance, if only he could cross.

If he could cross the bloke would fetch 50 mill.

He's playing well but slow down abit.

Great 1st half but canít see Forest being that poor in the 2nd half. Expect to see Grabban.

    Outclassing forest.

Romeo should have scored there, wasted chance.

Forest have upped their pace second half, we're struggling, need to be more composed in their half rushing it a bit. Smith trying to feed off scraps, nice to see us pass it about, but lack a little cutting edge. Fingers x'd we nick a second and see the game out. Probably their 2 most influential players on now, ****.

    That **** Grabban.

Thank fuck they have scored - livened it up at bit!

Fuckin shit **** bastard grabban not that **** again. Fucked up me evening that has. Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck.

Dirty ****! Penalty all day long!

Penalty all day long. **** of a ref.

Murray is getting skinned by Lolly.

Hope that Muslim **** drops dead! Ugly ****.

    Jed Wallace value now 15-20p

I canít believe any Prem team is really looking at him.

Fucking shocking millwall. Just sums up the evening completely that Grabben scores both.

    **** again.

    Yessss, get in there.

Great game, shame we did not win but canít fault the effort of the team tonight.

Fuck you Grabban you little ****. Good oleí shit Williams and AOB, eh? Seriously, proper spirit from the team, come on you Lions!!

Probably a fair result to be honest. First half performance should of been built on but Forrest came out well up for it.

Well done Wall, least we deserved, kept trying to play football and not resorting to hoofball. Bit more composure with our shooting and a ref who knows what constitutes a penalty and we would have had 3 points.

Entertaining game for all us armchair fans.

    2-2 was a fair result.

When you dominate a team as we did in the first half you have to make it count, we did not and let them back into the game. Poor result.

We *should have won that game, but having been where we were with four minutes left, a point is the least we deserved and we really should have had all three points at the end when Mahoney should have scored to make it 3-2. Plus we should have been given a penalty when Bradshaw was clearly fouled.

Forest scored from two mistakes. The first goal was poor defending from whoever was at the far post (Murray?) in that he should never have allowed their player to head it across the box from that position. The second goal was Jed's fault in pissing about with the ball and he got robbed, Pearce got done on the outside by Adomah and Grabban had a tap-in.

We really should have been 2 or 3-0 up at half time. We were miles ahead of Forest in every department and apart from a 20 minute spell in the second half, we finished the stronger and were overall the better side.

Didn't look like a penalty to me.

Definite penalty. Ameobi blocked Bradshaw with his left leg.

Just played three decent teams on the trot and we equalled them, even bettered them at times. Two of them are looking at automatic promotion.

What a cracking game. Crowd started off a bit muted but that really changed in the second half. Grabban scores two and AOB comes to the rescue, you couldn't make it up. Grabban is such a c#nt, giving the West upper the finger after scoring the second goal, prick.

Final say, what a shit ref, def penalty, allowed forest to get away with constant rough play. We woz robbed.

Read some of the Forest forum and they thought we were diving. I thought that was a tad harsh, as Thommo and Wallace rode some hard tackles, where they could have gone down and made more of it. The ones they did go down for seemed genuine. Indeed, this is not a bunch of divers and Millwall have never really been about that - I remember Sean Dyche's debut and he got shit loads of abuse for rolling around on floor. Told that that maybe be acceptable at Watford, but not Millwall. He never did it again.

Made me think how some fans are so biased... as they mentioned Rowett a lot, ie a ex Derby County manager.

Conversely, one said he went from one shit club (Derby) to a shitter one (us)... which amused me, as I can never imagine us being that generous about an ex west ham manager or player... if Julian Dicks turned up at poxy the Dog & Duck FC I would say it was a vast improvement.

Then again, many of them were quite snobbish on there... which is odd, as they have been outside the top flight for 20 years now and played a fair amount of third tier football in that time. And they are certainly used to being beaten by us!

Old school team... lots of support.
Well, we may be old school, and we do have lots of support, but we should have won that tonight - Millwall and Rowatt are still a bunch of hoofball thugs who like to cheat.
Even thought I didn't even listen to the commentary, I know this to be true!

Big thick stupid Millwall fan on phone after match while we were going up steps to the train station.......
'Hi. Don't know what time i'm back. Not on train yet; they let the other cants on platform straight away.'
Well, I was struggling to find a word to describe Millwall fans and there you have it, straight from the filthy mouth of a thick Millwall fan.
You do yourself a disservice. Not quite all Millwall fans are cants.

Not a single mention of peanuts?

    Disappointed.

ĄI believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialismď

Think it runs deeper than that.

He said it was "because he left...and why would anybody would anybody want to do that?". My mate doesn't have a lot of time for some of Millwall's support.

My guess is he has probably gone back and scored against them before.

Grabban ran back to halfway line after scoring the first looking up to the Millwall fans who had been giving him stick warming up, with a big grin on his face. That sort of thing is all it takes to keep the love going.

    That exchange was funny.

So, most agree the draw was a fair result from both sides.
