I am not surprised at all he scored a goal like that, which is bizarre because I would also not be surprised if he missed from 6 yards either.

Those speculative efforts do go in every now and again.

    They mostly don't though.

If I was a manager you'd get fined for trying it. If you scored I'd add a supplement.

A spectacular goal every season or so might look nice on a highlight reel, but it doesn't the points back on the board for all those games they failed to score in.

Can we not just appreciate a goal without barbed comments about him attached?

There’s a good striker in there - and he’s not afraid of hard work either. But being ignored by subsequent managers despite being able to rip the onion bag regularly suggests there’s something not right with him

I’d have still had him in the squad this season. Loves a goal from nothing. Think he’d offer us more than Mir

He's a better striker than Mir based on what I've seen of them both. Early days there though.

Getting rid of Vellios, Karim and Walker all at once without a replacement feels like a bit of a bad move. I'd have kept at least one.

It was a tough one - Vellios had been out of the first team picture for so long - and was abject in his loan spells as well - so moving him on was clearly the best thing for his career.
Equally, a loan spell at a higher level than Division 2 with regular first team football was probably the right thing for Tyler's career.
Karim made it very clear he wanted to move on because of how last season went for him. Personally, I think only Karim, personally made the wrong decision and chased the money.

His goal with a bicycle kick was just voted goal of the season in the Greek league.

Exactly the type of player we'd now be looking to sign and jizzing ourselves over if he'd not already failed here.

Actually I take that back, he's only 28. Needs another 4 years, a few injuries, and then we'd be offering him a 2.5 year contract alongside Bong.

8 goals in 45 games and offered absolutely nothing off the ball.

    No thanks.
