The fact the Vellios deal is reportedly going through seems to indicate that things are going off in the background.

I've seen what the Greek reporter has been saying but he wouldn't be aware that we're currently under embargo.

If this is true, I definitely think it's a sign that the takeover must be in a fairly advanced stage.

    All speculation.
He does appear to know what he's talking about from a wider sense.

So, nobody should ever sign anybody from Greece ever - because those two players didn't end up as great signings for us?

How many players from the Greek league do you know who've made it in the championship? Or even come to play in the championship? Can't think of many.

Not sure too many of them were successes to be honest? Or only played in prem and not champ which is more games, more physical. Just saying...

So who is the most successful foreign player ever to play in the Championship? We should sign players from his nation.

Fulham has regretted signing Konstantinos Mitroglou for 13m but when you consider that mitrogiou has scored everywhere else , the problem surely lies with fulham. Last season , he scored 20 goals in 32 games for Benfica on loan - the club that Nelson Oliveria has struggled to get into but yet able to score for forest last seasson.

Do the football league usually email out information that isn't publicly known to some nobody email address?

Did you even look at that list before posting it?

You don't half post some crap sometimes

    Apostolos Vellios – Everton – 2010–13?

& how did that work out?

Perhaps you want to enquire at Blackpool?

Even if that list was full of superstars, you can't judge a man based on his fellow country men.

You can judge him on his past record and scouting reports and, on that basis, I'm out.

Indeed. My scepticism didn't come across as I intended in my post.

I personally prefer to judge from what I see.

I see that while we're being regaled with meaningless lists, copied and pasted from the internet, which tell us absolutely nothing, but merely exist as an attempt to put lipstick on a pig, no one is still asking why a club, about to be taken over by an alleged match fixer is offering considerably more money, for a player, than anyone else, to a financially struggling club that will play the alleged match fixers primary club at least twice next season...

Do you actually know more than everyone else about this whole Greek deal or are you making assumptions?

There are numerous videos of him on the internet. Here's one for you to take a gander at.

In all honesty, the Greek league is a million miles away from the Championship in terms of style, physicality, pacing... It's more like a really poor version of the Premier League.

8k isnt too bad for a 2nd/3rd choice striker... Now I'm just worried about the fee.

Missed out a key word there. Verbal.

Vellios has agreed terms verbally with a view to signing on the 26th of June.

Will mean nothing if the embargo is still in place.

Reported fee was €1.2M or around £900k in real money.

At least it should end the confusion as to whether or not it's been lifted.
