That's the tip of the iceberg. Losing 2-0 to Barnsley to slip to 21st in League One back in '05..........

Dont think I've ever felt as low as after that Blackburn game, only needed to not get beat and couldnt even take corners or pass 10 yard.

December has a familiar feel to it so far. Shaping up nicely for annual mid-season self-implosion.

A few boos tonight on the final whistle. Three without a win. How many are allowed at Forest. Sheff Weds are decent team...

Post game board EGM on the pitch at the KCOM on Boxing Day?

Fairly sure the bulk of the dissent was aimed at the utter clown who was masquerading as the referee.

By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?

EM thinks this club is like a supertanker, it takes time to turn it around. Next season is the one.

I'd agree with that. Woolmer truly is the worst of the lot.

He slows the game down at every single possibly opportunity. He stands in the way of the ball s you can't take quick free-kicks. He doesn't punish players wasting time, because I genuinely think he prefers the ball not being in play, so he doesn't have to make a decision.

He just takes the easy option every single time. It's like his goal isn't to referee a game of football, it's to try and make as many decisions as possible that don't impact the game.

It really frustrates me when ref's think they need to not impact the game. Their job is to react to what happens and deal with it.

Next season where Daws & Watson will be a year older?

EM needs to wake up and recognize now is the season. He should have done that pre-season tbh, instead of deciding to fill the squad with players to train up for other clubs.

Yeah, unlike Leeds with Ben White, Eddie Nketiah, Jack Harrison and Jack Clarke...

Or WBA with Diangana, Willock, Krovinovic and Pereira.

Or Fulham with Cavaleira, Reed, Reid and even Arter/Knockaert.

or Swansea with Woodman, Surridge and Wilmot

Its not about loan players, stop your one man crusade. Marinakis is making this club move forward again, when it had been going backwards for years. You're way off on this one.

Huddersfield went up because they used the loan market well. Sheff U benefited massively from a ManU goalkeeper. Direby nearly went up because of two Chelsea kids and one from Liverpool.

The loan market is actually part of the way forward. It's just Alf who's wrong, but he'll never accept it.

Loans are essential if we want to compete for promotion.

Yeah, those teams who won't even be in this division next year

You've highlighted my point. Those teams are making the most of those players NOW. When it counts.

Swansea will drop off IMO, the other 3 will be strong favourites to go up and replace from a position of strength. Unless we pull our fingers out our arse and make the most of these players now.

I haven't highlighted your point at all. You've just decided to claim I did because I made you see numerous teams are borrowing players and making them 'better' for other clubs they'll return to. There's loads more example.

    You're wrong chap.

The loan system isn’t a problem, the problem is we’re shit at using loans.

Remember when we had Shorey and Ramsay on loan? Now we get Rafa Mir, Gil Dias and Muric. Great stuff.

But folk will tell everyone to trust the DOF/recruitment structure, instead of a manager with vast knowledge of the leagues.

Managers should do the recruiting, not some skysport brainwashed jumped up **** in a suit who thinks he's some sort of god, who the poor paying supporters have to pander to.

Manager's decision and his only, he's the one to get the boot after a few months.

It amazes me how few Forest fans believe in Clough's philosophies.

And in our case we're inevitably stuck with said manager's failures on lengthy contracts. A situation we've been burdened with for the best part of twenty-years, and still are to some degree.

The game has changed radically since the Great Man's days.

I don't really care who signs the players, as long as the players are good and addresses any weaknesses in the squad or improve us.

No. Good loans are essential if we want to compete for promotion.

Exactly. Other than Colback, almost every loan we've had in recent years has been utter shite, whereas other teams in and around the top six seem to be able to bring in at least one or two good loan signings.

With FFP in place, I doubt we'll be able to get loans of Shorey or Ramsay's calibre again, but surely we can do better than crap like Dias and Mir?

I was led to believe the manager has little input to any signings? So whose fault is it with all the crap we've been lumbered with over the years? They should be sacked.

59 in Lloyd's list, just like last year; like you, he has trouble getting promoted.

He first made the list in 2010, at no. 88.

In fairness to the big man, he's had us achieve a higher position each season under his reign. As opposed to Fawaz seeing us drop in position each year.

He has a couple of doubters who are 'out to lunch' as North American's would say.

But he deserve a lot of credit and gratitude from Forest fans.

    Cheaper tickets
    Bigger attendances
Improving each season in the league
    Training ground improvements
    Stadium improvements incoming
Having staff in roles that are required
General desire to create a greater 'community' through the club into the city.
Being a respected club again, as opposed to Fawaz's laughing stock.

I'm incredibly grateful for his contributions thus far.

Sure, like anything, there's a few things i'd like to see improved. Largely around the building of our squad. I'm hoping now Vrentzos seems to be taking a back seat for Modesto and Anigo, we'll see an improvement.

    Onwards and upwards.
