What happens to the 6 weeks wages they’ve been fined, charity or Derby County

It’ll be the next 80 million to appear in Mel’s ffp dodge.

Without being party to the players contract details and what is in them in regards of disciplinary actions I would imagine that Derby have had their legal team pore through them and levied the maximum punishment currently available to them under those terms.

You would have thought though that a quiet word in the managers ear along the lines of 'Don't pick those two' would be in order from a moral standpoint, however, again, in order to carry out everything by the book in order to protect the club they may have decided it was better in the club's interests to not do that.

Whilst to us on the outside it may seem all very clear cut, throw in agents and lawyers and Derby will be treading very very carefully at the moment.

What happens if the two are found guilty remains to be seen.

What happens if you test positive for drink driving, between the time of the test and when you are due to appear in court?

Do you relinquish your licence straight away?

To a lay person looking at this as an interested outsider, the outcome so far seems very half-hearted and weak from the club's point of view.

To return from a team building exercise (after being videoed in compromising positions) in a drunken condition driving dangerously and crashing their cars so badly that one member of the group must now fear for his football future, is unforgiveable.

And for that club to continue to select the duo whilst just stopping their wages for a few weeks and telling them to undergo a few hours of "community service" is a nonsense. To send them out in humiliation into the city centre to sweep the streets and empty dustbins would be, at least, an attempt to show contrition.

But to make them help the club's community action team will probably result in them being treated as role models whilst visiting schools etc.

The court can only decide to take away the licence, so they can in theory drive.

Due to committing a serious offence whilst under investigation for the same offence... you'd very possibly get remanded into custody until your next court appearance. Because the courts would likely hand a custodial sentence out.

A mate of mine got done for DD thirty odd years ago. He wrote his car off in the process. He bought an old banger to drive around in until his court case.

Gifted their first goal today, back pass rolled under the 'keepers foot!! I think we need a few drink drivers, I don't think Derby have scored a goal since then that wasn't given to them.

Check out the electronic advertising perimeter boards when Pisshead scored for the shaggers today.

    Spoke to Derby fans.

Said they were wank today, scored from a 'keeper error and a cross that went in, said Luton deserved a point.

The three I spoke to today said they'll get hammered by decent teams and they're not impressed at all with Cocu.

The two goals they “scored” were hilariously lucky, Luton would have done better with a traffic cone in goal.

Even we are beating Derby: our U15 team is in the UK for a tournament and they beat Derby County 1-0.

A school teacher explains to her class that she is a Derby fan. She asks her students to raise their hands if they too, are Derby fans. Everyone in the class raises their hand except one little boy. The teacher looks at the boy with surprise and says, "Jamie, why didn't you raise your hand?" "Because I'm not a Derby fan," he replied. The teacher, still shocked, asked, "Well, if you are not Derby fan, then what team are you a fan of?" "I am a Forest fan, and proud of it," Jamie replied. The teacher could not believe her ears. "Jamie, why are you a Forest fan?" "Because my Mum is a Forest fan, and my Dad is a Forest fan, so I'm a Forest fan too!" "Well," said the teacher in an obviously annoyed tone, "That is no reason for you to be a Forest fan too. You don't have to be just like your parents all of the time. What if your Mum were a twat and your Dad was a wanker, what would you be then?"

"Then," Jamie smiled, "I'd be a Derby fan."

Both pleaded guilty to drink driving, both approx. 2 x over the limit and leaving the scene of an accident.

I’ll bet they get away with community service too.

As would 99% of other drink drivers as well as a fine.

I'd rather they did community service than get fined to be honest. Any fine would be loose change to them, whereas by doing CS they are at least putting back into society.

I assume neither have been charged with this before.

1st offence, twice the limit - It'll be a fine and 1 year ban. That could be reduced to 9 months if they attend an 'awareness course'.

Leaving the scene will probably increase the fine and add a few extra penalty points

Both players have been disqualified from driving for 2 years, given a 12-month community order each, ordered to carry out 180 hours of unpaid work and costs of £85 and £90 victim surcharge.

So, each of them got more points than Derby County 2007-08?
