Was the little Leprechaun's birthday yesterday. Thirty-six.

I stumbled across a stat that he didn't lose a game in his last 20 Forest League appearances.

    I miss him.

    So do I.

All I have left of him is this:

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

Who’d thought that game against Derby would prove to be such a shit day?.

Andy Reid will be Ray Stubbs's guest on Talksport this Dinner from 12. Just reeled off all the Manager's he's played for, took bloody ages!

Had match-winning ability and leadership qualities, and cared deeply about the club.

Great combination that isn't easily found these days.

Would love to see him managing Ireland one day.

Hopefully they have a few talents coming through he can work with again in the future.

He also said that when they lost Cohen, him and Hobbs in the space of 2 or 3 weeks, the younger players in the side lost 'direction', and struggled as a result.
He also said that Pearce was great on the training ground, but, there were 2 or 3 'foreign players' who refused to integrate with the training sessions, who, when asked to do stuff, shrugged their shoulders and walked away. He didn't name them, but, said that they were responsible, in a lot of ways, for what went on behind the scenes.

He said there were a couple of Foreign players who wouldn’t mix with the other players and had no desire to put a shift in for the team so I suppose he means Abdoun and Djebbour, he mentions the Derby match when he and Cohen were both injured and the Mental issues when he realised that he would probably never play again, said he felt that he let down Pearce by not being more supportive whilst the Team was suffering as he had his own issues, taking his coaching badges and is hoping to get into Management.

One fact hardly mentioned about SP's reign is that he lost Cohen and Reid, his captain and club captain, in the space of one match in September. You could argue that Reidy was not on prime form at the time and Cohen was never going to be the same player having come back from serious injury, but to lose all that experience, talent and drive for the whole of the season... Well, that would test any manager.

It's trendy to think that Stuart's tactically naive, all roll yer sleeves up and gerrit in the mixer. But if you listen to him on radio, he paints the tactical picture of a match as well as any anyone (amid a bit of waffle, granted). He would have got us to the play-offs with an even break of fortune and one or two smart additions in the January window.

Of course, it's always abdoun and djebbour. It's their fault really.

Not have as good a career as their talent suggests because they were too fat?

    Hopefully no one we produce.
