    I think 'odd' is a good thing. Oddness shows originality, uniqueness and a desire to be different from the masses. Oddness is, maybe, only deemed 'odd' by the majority who are considered less odd but only by their own blinkered observations and understanding. Oddness should never be criticised but be encouraged to nurture, develop individualism and to explore the mind rather than conform to expectation and 'normality'.     Fitness shmitness.

    I have a porblem getting fit, I really find it difficult to maintnain motivation when I get to a level. I love cycling but wll go months without touching my bike , start to get a little chubby round the edges and go on a binge to get fit again. I go to the gym for 6 months, start to get muscles (that should get the gays reading this thread somewhere near wood)
    then stop and get all flabby.

    I need help.


    And, I forgot to add, I love exercise, thrive on it, I have always been lucky that I can drop wieght in weeks and get fit quickly, I just lose interest quickly. I was always better when I had someone to train with.

    Try making fitness a part of your weekly routine. Pick a couple of days and plan and make a commitment to yourself to dedicate an hour or two to getting physical and sweaty.

    Exercise should be enjoyable and if you're enjoying it it becomes sustainable and a part of your day.

    Incentivise yourself. Reach a certain target and reward yourself.

    Everyone will struggle with motivation from time to time so when you're feeling weak, rely on your family and friends for support and stop coming up with excuses. Don't think about it. Just do it!

    I'm like the lone wolf of fitness. No gyms, I train alone.

    I too can lose it quickly and put it back on just as quick. But I, as the lone wolf of fitness, see this as part of the circle of life (like off of lion king).

    Plus if you get really really into it you get really really dull and talk about nothing else

    A-WOOOOOOOOO

    (That was a lone wolf howl if anyone missed the meaning)

    My friends and family have been a great support for me when it comes to positive thinking and not giving in to calorific evils at times of weakness.

    I have a very real desire for sugar and occasionally lack willpower so I need help to either distract me or remove me from temptation.

    Sometimes, you need to syphon a bit of strength from other people to stay on track.

    Having a treat is important to sustaining healthy eating as I find I crave certain foods and denying myself only serves me by wanting them more. For me, it's about moderation and using exercise to earn the treats.

    I think I'll join a football team this year here in Qatar, I like playing football and it'll do for fitness I guess.
