Does the story mention that City went back on their promise to let him go home to Brazil to see his family for his 25th birthday, and that's why he's been allowed to go now?

Doesn't exactly fit with what's been written but it could be journos adding 2 and 2 to make 5 (as usual)

But executive chairman Garry Cook told the BBC: "I do know Robinho is not at the training centre in Tenerife.

"If he has left the training ground it is a breach of club discipline. I am waiting for a full debrief."

Makes you wonder if Robinho was promised Kaka was signing in January and now he's not and he wants out?

Its a thought but the two are good friends by all accounts so you would imagine they'd have spoke about it and stuff. I think Robinho moved solely because he wanted out at Madrid and obviously will be earning a little bit more now shall we say.

it was only a matter of time before it all came crashing down for robinho, one of the worse moves ever so far!! So glad kaka did not make the move as it might send a good signal to players who want to succeed and not move about for the money!!

i am not a millionaire but whats the difference if you ended yourfootballing days with 5 millions pound in the bank or 25 million in the bank you will live a deccent life with no money worrys.

before you answer the question and 20 million i have beat you to it!!
